DHS Jazz Choir Cabaret Tickets On Sale Now -Tickets for the Davis High School Jazz Choir Cabaret performances are on sale now. A dinner show will be held on Saturday, March 21, starting at 5p.m., and features a catered buffet dinner. A matinee show will be held on Sunday, March 22 at 2p.m. and features a dessert buffet bar. Both shows will be held at Emerson Junior High. The Cabaret is the choir's most elaborate production of the year. This year's events boast delicious food, hand-made craft mocktails, silent auction, and fabulous musical performances running throughout both shows. CAASPP:  Juniors will participate in CAASPP testing in March. Sophomores and Seniors will and participate in assemblies during CAASPP testing. ELA    - Wed, 3/18 & Thurs, 3/19,Math - Wed, 3/25 & Thurs, 3/26 Science - Wed, 5/20 & Thurs, 5/21
Seniors the 2020 Graduation Speech Applications are now available. Please pick up an application form from Ms. Marlen Cabrera in the office if you are interested in being selected to speak at Graduation.

The Senior Announcements Catalog can be picked up at the office (not orders).
CLUBS: This Thursday, February 27 from 6-9 p.m. Global Glimpse will be having a fundraiser at Blaze Pizza. Please come out and support our members. Don't forget your flyers. Flyers can be found with all Global Glimpse members.
Didn't get a chance to join HUB? The HUB class is extending its deadline to this Friday, February 28. Improve your journalism skills and college apps by applying to be business managers, reporter, photographer or a graphic artist?
Are you interested in Chemical Engineering? Then come to women in STEM's meeting this Friday in S-8. Dr. Margie Longo will be giving a presentation titled "The Earth Inspires Us."
Lunchtime Intramurals is starting MARCH MADNESS... a 3 on 3, student-staff basketball tournament!  Find someone to team up with and then ask a teacher or staff member to join your team!  Teams must consist of 2 students and 1 staff member! Once you have your team of 3, stop by the north gym at lunch, and sign up with Mr. Ariola or Ms. Crawford!  Don't miss out on this!  It's going to FUN!  Intramural Champion t-shirts for the winning team!
Pick up your AVID applications in the main office and return to Mrs. McInturf in room L-105 by Friday, February 28th.
CAREERS: The City of Davis if offering a half-day event called "University of You" to help high school students become successful and responsible adults.  Topics will include navigating college, finances, self-care and job interview preparation.  University of You is Saturday, March 7 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at Davis Veterans Memorial Center.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
Rotary Club is offering two all-expense paid summer camps in June for high school juniors.  Camp Royal leadership camp is filled with ideas and strategies to help students become more effective leaders. Camp Venture is a motivational summer camp for students interested in pursuing a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs. Deadline to apply has been extended to March 6.  Applications are available in the Career Center.
SENIORS:   Local community scholarships are now available for seniors graduating from a Davis high school!  Local scholarships are offered to a wide variety of students, including those who are planning to preserve the environment, played sports, worked at a job during high school, are active in school or community, are an immigrant to the U.S. and more!  Come to the Career Center to apply for these and more local scholarships!  The deadline for most local scholarships is April 3.

If you need financial aid to help pay for college, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The deadline to submit the FAFSA is March 2.  Come to the Career Center for information about financial aid and for help completing the FAFSA.
If you applied to Sac State for the fall, come to the Career Center on today at lunch for a Sacramento State "What's Next" presentation, where you will learn the next key steps you need to take to officially enroll in the university.
