ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: "It's time to apply to join the most exciting music groups at the high school!  Apply online now to be a part of Advanced Treble Choir, Jazz Choir, and Madrigals.  The deadline is Monday, Feb. 24th.  Applications are available on the choir websites or through school loop.  Be a part of the most fun and talented choirs!"
Join the HUB staff! Applications now available outside L-28 for the following positions: photographer, graphic artist, webmaster and business manager.  Application deadline is today.
Seniors the 2020 Graduation Speech Applications are now available. Please pick up an application form from Ms. Marlen Cabrera in the office if you are interested in being selected to speak at Graduation.

CLUBS: The new spoke Literacy and Art magazine is out, featuring work by talented artists and writers. Pick up a copy in your English class!
Counseling: Students-when you make an appointment, Print or Screenshot your confirmation email (check your spam!) That will be your pass to leave class. Counselors will not send a pass for you if you make an appointment.
Hey CSF! Join us during lunch this Friday, 2/21 in Mrs. O'Brien's room P-13 for our first general meeting of the semester. Come hear about some new projects and a brief update on our t-shirt. Hope to see you there!
Do you want to be a part of the climate movement? Come to the Climate Action Club in L-14 at lunch this Friday to be a part of a big Earth Day Fundraiser!
Lunchtime Intramurals is starting MARCH MADNESS... a 3 on 3, student-staff basketball tournament!  Find someone to team up with and then ask a teacher or staff member to join your team!  Teams must consist of 2 students and 1 staff member! Once you have your team of 3, stop by the north gym at lunch, and sign up with Mr. Ariola or Ms. Crawford!  Don't miss out on this!  It's going to FUN!  Intramural Champion t-shirts for the winning team!
Environmental Club is working with UCDavis to build a new garden! Sign up for construction by coming to S-10 on Thursdays.
Pick up your AVID applications in the main office and return to Mrs. McInturf in room L-105 by Friday, February 28th.
CAREERS: The Davis Stampede needs volunteers for its race this weekend on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd.  Volunteers distribute water and food to runners and work the registration and medals table.  The event takes place from 7:00 am to 11:00 am at Playfields Park in Davis.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
If you are looking for a job, SwimAmerica is now hiring energetic and enthusiastic students for part-time swim instructor positions.  Experience is preferred but not required. Pay is $13.00 per hour.  Deadline to apply is February 21 so come to the Career Center soon for an application!
If you applied to Sac State for the fall, come to the Career Center on Tuesday, February 25 at lunch for a Sacramento State "What's Next" presentation, where you will learn the next key steps you need to take to officially enroll in the university.
Our next Money Management for Teens presentation (formerly known as the Financial Literacy class) will be tomorrow at lunch in the Career Center.   Pizza will be provided!  This month's topic is "Credit Cards - the good and the bad".  Come to the Career Center this week to sign up!
The PTA is sponsoring a Gap Year Fair on Saturday, February 22 from 1:00 - 4:00 in the All Student Center and library.  Students will hear speakers discuss a wide variety of gap year opportunities, and meet with representatives to learn about the many different gap year programs available.  Come to the Career Center for a flyer on how to sign up.
