We are getting closer to graduation! Senior Speech applications are now available at the office. Applications are due Friday, April 5th at 4:00p.m. No late speeches will be accepted. A panel of judges will read the speeches and select the finalist. Finalist will be invited to a live audition on Thursday, April 18th during 7th period. Students will be chosen and notified by April 23rd.



On March 16th, the Davis High School Bands and DJUSD Music Program invite the school to a festival of music benefiting the Paradise Unified School District (PUSD) music program on Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. At the Richard Brunelle Performance Hall. The festival, featuring over 450 student musicians, is free to the public with 100% of donations being given to the PUSD music program. We will also have a festival band performance that reunites the scatter Paradise Band Students with over 100 Davis band students for a phenomenal band performance at 5:00pm! Jazz Choir Cabaret - Buy your tickets now for the Jazz Choir Cabaret dinner shows! Held on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 at Emerson Junior High, this year's event boasts a delicious catered dinner - served by the performers - hand-made craft mocktails, silent auction, and fabulous musical performances running throughout the evening. Doors open at 5 pm, so guests can browse silent-auction items before enjoying the show, which starts at 6 pm. All students who turned in their AP Drawing Portfolios may pick them up.  Acceptance lists are posted in A-1 and the Art Office Window.
CLUBS:
Hey DHS! Spring Dance is coming up and will be on March 15th from 8-11p.m. Purchase tickets online and save! Online sales are from March 4th - 15th  for $6 with ASB and $8 without. In person sales are March 11-15th  in the Finance Office. $8 dollars with ASB and $10 dollars without.  Hope to see you there!
Come to Culture Club! Where you can learn about different cultures and gain a different perspective of cultures around the Globe. It will be happening in room P-23 at lunch every Tuesday. Hope to see you there!

Get hyped because it's Kindness Week! On Tuesday, we will have a High 5 Hallway during nutrition break. Wednesday, there will be a tree planting at lunch in the quad. Kindness week will then wrap up with yellow Friday.

CAREERS:
The Career Center's annual Summer Activities, Scholarship and Job Fair will take place in front of the ASC this Tuesday, March 12 at lunch, rain or shine!  If you're looking for something to do this summer, need a job, or want free money for college, you should attend this event!  The fair will feature job applications, scholarship applications, and information about volunteering and summer activities.  See you there!
