  *   Breakfast Served Daily:  Cereal w/Graham Cracker, Breakfast Pizza, Assorted Breakfast Sandwiches, Scones, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Pancakes w/ Sausage, Assorted Muffins, Chicken & Biscuit Slider, Yogurt Parfait w/Graham Cracker.
  *   Grab & Go Hot Chocolate & Muffin & Fruit Cinnamon Rolls.
Lunch: Today's lunch specials are Chicken Chow Mein, Pull Pork Sandwich, Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo, Turkey/Apple/Cheddar Panini.

We are getting closer to graduation! Senior Speech applications are now available at the office.



DHS PTA Newsletter Submissions: Wednesday, Feb. 27th, is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the March edition of the Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. To the DHS PTA Media Listserve at DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>. Be sure to include your name, email address and phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission and also note that not every submission will be automatically included. Inclusion is at the discretion of our communications committee and is subject to timing, the appropriate venue(s), and frequency of the request(s). The newsletter is the ONLY communication tool that reaches ALL DHS families, whether they have internet access or not. The newsletter is generally published around the first of each month.  This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.

CLUBS:
Interested in saving lives? Sign-Up to donate blood at the Blood Drive on 3/11. Sign-ups are in the quad during lunch! You must be at least 16 years old and weight at least 110 pounds to donate.

Drums on the Quad this Friday at lunch: Come celebrate Black History Month with a drum presentation put on by the Fenix Drum and Dance Company. We have had to postpone this event because of rain but we are on for Friday. Listen to authentic drumming from West Africa, the Congo, and the Caribbean. Better yet, join in and play the drums with this dynamic drumming group.
Guys, gals, and nobinary pals! Come to the GSA meeting this Friday at  lunch in Mrs. Ista's room, L-29, up the stairs  on the right side of the library.
Hey, hey, hey! It's Friendship Day! Don't forget to turn in your Friendship Day permission slips by Wednesday the 6th. If you forget to do so, bring the permission slip with you to Friendship Day on Friday the 8th! All aboard the Friendship Ship! Toot toot!
CAREERS:
Juniors interested in learning what it's like to be an FBI agent can apply for the Spring Sacramento FBI Teen Academy held on Friday, April 12 at the FBI headquarters in Roseville. At the academy, students will learn about FBI careers, the types of cases the FBI investigates, hidden dangers of social media, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle free of crime, drugs, gangs and violence. Deadline to apply is March 11. Come to the Career Center for an application.
If you are looking for a job this summer, Swim America is now hiring summer camp counselors at $12.00 per hour.   Camp counselors will supervise and help children with various camp activities for four weeks in the summer. Come to the Career Center for more information.
SENIORS:  If you need financial aid to help you pay for college, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The deadline to submit the FAFSA is March 2. Come to the Career Center for information about financial aid and for help completing the FAFSA.
SENIORS:   Many local scholarships are now available for seniors graduating from a Davis high school, including those for students who plan to pursue a career in law enforcement, played soccer, worked at a job during high school, are active in school or community, or are an immigrant to the U.S.  Come to the Career Center to apply for these and many more local scholarships!  The deadline for most of these local scholarships is April 5.
