Want to know more about South Africa? Come to Culture Club! Where you can learn more about different cultures and gain a different perspective of culture around the world. It will be happening in room P-23 at lunch. Hope to see you there!

ATHLETICS:
Varsity Badminton vs Rodriguez, 4:00                dismiss: 3:00

There will be an informational football meeting for parents of varsity and JV football players on Tuesday May 7th at 6:30 pm in the DSHS library. This is a mandatory meeting for parents of players who have expressed an interest in playing football for DSHS this coming 2019 season. New players who are considering playing and their parents are encouraged to attend to get information and meet the DSHS Football Family. The requirements needed as well as schedules for spring, summer and fall will be discussed. We look forward to seeing you.
Senior Athletes -Have you signed or plan to sign a letter of intent? DSHS Athletics would like to celebrate your accomplishments at our Annual Signing Day Recognition event on Thursday, May 16 at 11:30am on the quad. Please pick up your signing day information form from the Athletic Secretary in the main administration building. To ensure all information is accurate and available for the presentation, please turn your form into Athletics by Friday May 10. Parents/family are invited to attend!
Sports Physical Clinic! Saturday, June 1st 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  Sutter Family Medicine 2030 Sutter Pl., Suite 2000. Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals this spring for the 2019-20 school year. $20 donation benefits DSHS Athletics. ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Students, Staff and Parents: Please nominate an educator you think is most deserving of the Honor of Floyd Fenocchio Memorial Educator of the Year. Please pick up an application at the front office and return you nomination with an attached description/explanation of your nominee to Kate Prien, Site Secretary no later than noon on Friday, May 10, 2019. The finalist will receive the award at the Senior Awards Ceremony.

On Wednesday May 1st and Friday May 3rd  Davis Senior High School will be hosting the Delta League Track and Field Championships. The stadium parking lot will be closed to students starting at 12:10pm on these days. If the stadium lot is your preferred parking location, please find an alternate parking location on these days. We are suggesting that students park in vets memorial parking in the morning or move to the vets memorial parking lot during the lunch period.



Attention Seniors: If you purchased a Senior Announcements, they are ready to pick up in the Main office. Please come and ask for Vice Principal secretary Marlen Cabrera.

CLUBS:
This is the last week to turn in applications for Link Crew. This is your chance to join a great group of Blue Devils aiming to make DHS a better place for all. Applications are due Friday, May 3rd. Come by L-20 if you have questions.
"Attention car lovers! The Devil Day Car Show is coming! Hosted by the Davis Auto Tech Boosters and the DHS Auto Shop, the show will take place on the Quad, Wednesday, May 29, 8AM to 1PM. Pick up an application in O-3 or in the main office. Students and non-students may apply. First place winners will receive a $20 O'Reilly's gift card and free oil change from the DHS Auto Shop. Apps are due May 17. Get your application in now for the 2019 Devil Day Car Show!"
Come join MSA on, Wednesday, May 1st in P-10 for out first annual movie night! We will be showing Ali's wedding. Bring your blankets and pillows and hope to see you there at 6pm.

CAREERS:
The City of West Sacramento is offering its Summer STEPS full-time, paid student summer internship program where students will gain work experience with the City of West Sacramento. Deadline to apply is May 5. Come to the Career Center for more information.
