Senior Athletes -Have you signed or plan to sign a letter of intent? DSHS Athletics would like to celebrate your accomplishments at our Annual Signing Day Recognition event on Thursday, May 16 at 11:30am on the quad.. Please pick up your signing day information form from the Athletic Secretary in the main administration building. To ensure all information is accurate and available for the presentation, please turn your form into Athletics by Friday May 10. Parents/family are invited to attend!
Sports Physical Clinic! Saturday, June 1st 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  Sutter Family Medicine 2030 Sutter Pl., Suite 2000. Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals this spring for the 2019-20 school year. $20 donation benefits DSHS Athletics. ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Students, Staff and Parents: Please nominate an educator you think is most deserving of the Honor of Floyd Fenocchio Memorial Educator of the Year. Please pick up an application at the front office and return you nomination with an attached description/ explanation of your nominee to Kate Prien, Site Secretary no later than noon on Friday, May 10, 2019. The finalist will receive the award at the Senior Awards Ceremony.
Attention ALL STUDENTS: On Wed. May 1st and Friday May 3rd the stadium parking lot will be closed at lunch for the reminder of the day for the championship track meet. If you park in the stadium parking lot, you will need to move your car to an alternate parking on during lunch. Please consider walking or biking to school on these days to avoid confusion.
Attention seniors! Senior Ball is May 11th at The Hyatt in downtown Sacramento 1209 L St, Sacramento, CA. Last ticket sale date is this Friday at lunch in the Finance office. All seniors wishing to purchase tickets all forms can be found in the front office. To ensure your group sits together, please have a representative of your group deliver all completed forms at the time of purchase.

CAST Testing for juniors, originally slated for April 24th and 25th, has been rescheduled to May 22nd and May 23rd.

CLUBS:
"Attention car lovers! The Devil Day Car Show is coming! Hosted by the Davis Auto Tech Boosters and the DHS Auto Shop, the show will take place on the Quad, Wednesday, May 29, 8AM to 1PM. Pick up an application in O-3 or in the main office. Students and non-students may apply. First place winners will receive a $20 O'Reilly's gift card and free oil change from the DHS Auto Shop. Apps are due May 17. Get your application in now for the 2019 Devil Day Car Show!"
Do you like breathable air? If so, Bike to school during May is bike month. If you bike the last four, Wednesday's of May you will get a prize.



CAREERS:
Attention students! Korematsu PTO needs volunteers, this Saturday the 27th at the Odd Fellows Lodge from 1:30 - 5:00pm (or any time between those hours) to help set-up and decorate for their annual auction, Havana Nights themed!  Snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you can please email ashleyburgdorf.kpto at gmail.com<mailto:ashleyburgdorf.kpto at gmail.com> to confirm if you are available and the hours you can volunteer it will be much appreciated.
The City of West Sacramento is offering its Summer STEPS full-time, paid student summer internship program where students will gain work experience with the City of West Sacramento.  Deadline to apply is May 5.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
