THIS DAY IN HISTORY: 1782 - The British navy won its only naval engagement against the colonists in the American Revolution at the Battle of Saints, off Dominica.

Lunch: Happy Burrito Day! The ASC Café is now offering burrito bowls in addition to our burritos. We are now serving chicken, beef and nacho cheese, bean and cheese, and veggie (vegan) burritos!

Sports Physical Clinic! Saturday, June 1st 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Sutter Family Medicine 2030 Sutter Pl., Suite 2000. Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals this spring for the 2019-20 school year. $20 donation benefits DSHS Athletics. Please come for dinner, enjoy the Boy's  Lacrosse Game JV 5:30pm/7:30V, recognize our Seniors and help Break the Record Night Tuesday, April 23rd. ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Attention seniors! Senior Ball is May 11th at the Hyatt. Last ticket sale date is April 26th at lunch in the Finance office. All seniors wishing to purchase tickets will need the following items:

  1.  Completed Table Organizer (one per group)
  2.  Guest Pass applications (if applicable)
  3.  Completed Prom Contact forms (required for each student)
  4.  Student ID Cards (or number)
  5.  Money for all guests included on the table organizer
All forms can be found in the front office. To ensure your group sits together, please have a representative of your group deliver all completed forms at the time of purchase.
Join the Art Department to celebrate the work of our high school artists at the Davis Arts Center on Friday from 6-7:30.  There will be food, music, and awards!
CLUBS:

Hey CSF! We are having a general meeting this week on Friday, April 12th, in P-13 at lunch. Be sure to come vote in our new officer elections for the 2019-20 school year. Hope to see you there!



CAREERS:
SENIORS: A local scholarship deadline has been extended! The Officer Natalie Corona Memorial Scholarship is for students who are planning to pursue a career in law enforcement or criminal justice. The new deadline is this Wednesday, April 17. Come to the Career Center to pick up an application.
A new scholarship is available for DHS students!  The Davis High School Ag Booster Scholarship is for seniors planning to pursue a career in agriculture or a related field.  Come to the Career Center for an application.  The deadline to apply is April 30.
If you would like to learn more about the United States Navy, a Navy representative will be on the quad Tuesday, April 16 at lunch to speak with interested students.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
Do you want to explore the world?  If so, a representative from Rustic Pathways<https://tracking.cirrusinsight.com/8d78a061-2ee2-46a2-9d15-398150556860/rusticpathways-com> will be on the quad Tuesday, April 16 at lunch to talk about their summer programs that will allow you to explore other cultures and see the world.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
