MENU DHS:

Did you know the voice actor of Olaf, Josh Gad, was on his high school Speech & Debate Team? Come to the speech & Debate Team's introductory lunch meeting in N-2 Mr. Ferguson's room to learn more!

Model United Nations meets every Tuesday at lunch in P-25. It's a fun club to discuss world issues. Come join Model United Nations today in Mr. Haw's room.

Davis High School Girls Golf Team will be having a fundraiser on Wednesday, September 12th at Lamp Post Pizza in West Davis from 6pm-9pm. 30% of the proceeds will benefit the DHS Girls Golf Program. You must mention the fundraiser when placing your orders. So don't FORE-get and bring the family to enjoy some delicious Lamp Post Pizza for a good cause.
ACADEMICS/ OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
The PSAT is Saturday, 10/13. The cost is $24.00. There are NO Refunds and no transfers. Sales end 10/1. There are a limited number of tests available. If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor immediately.
*Juniors only: Online purchasing is available 9/4- 10/1 @ dshs.djusd.net
*Sophomores: Online purchasing is available 9/17 - 10/1 @ dshs.djusd.net and is subject to availability
*In-person sign-ups will be held during lunch only, 9/24 - 10/1 at the Finance Office outside window. Students or   parents can pay in person via credit card, cash or check payable to Davis High School or DHS.

Please make sure to take your ASB receipt if you have purchased an ASB or need a correction to your ID. Life touch will be on campus from 7:30am-1:00pm. We will see you there!

Do you want to make long-lasting friendships? If so, come to the first Best Buddies meeting this Wednesday in room C-4. Best Buddies promotes one-on -one friendships between students with disabilities and students without. See you there!

Are you interested in Spanish oriented activities? Having fun with friends? Come to Spanish Club Tuesday, September 11th on Sra. Candelario's room O-6.

To all who are interested, DHS Mu Alpha Theta meets weekly on Thursday in Mr. G's room T-6. We do preparation for Math Competitions such as AMC's, and we also volunteer at Willet Elementary for tutoring.

Guys, gals, and nonbinary pals! The DHS GSA will be having their first meeting this Friday at lunch n Ms. Istas room L-29, in the library building. Bring your friends, and we hope to see you there!

Guten Tag! (Goo-Ten tog) Please join German Club this Wednesday at lunch in P-13, Mrs. O'Brien's room, if you are interested in enjoying delicious food while learning about German language, culture, and politics.

CAREERS:
Are you interested in being a Walker Creek CABIN LEADER?  If so, cabin leaders are needed for Pioneer Elementary's Walker Creek trip November 26-30.  Cabin leaders must be a positive role model for kids, be a leader and enjoy being in nature. Come to the Career Center for an application.
College admission reps are visiting the Career Center!  Sarah Lawrence College will be here Wednesday and UC San Diego will be here on Friday! Come to the Career Center, which is located in the ASC, to see the list of all colleges visiting our high school this fall.
If you are interested in community service, social service and personal growth, you may want to join The Youth Leadership Davis program.  Students learn how to be community leaders and will be trained as interns at the Davis Interfaith Rotating Winter Shelter.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
