  *   Breakfast Served Daily:  Cereal w/Graham Cracker, Breakfast Pizza, Assorted Breakfast Sandwiches, Scones, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Pancakes w/ Sausage, Assorted Muffins, Chicken & Biscuit Slider, Yogurt Parfait w/Graham Cracker.

Attention all Math and Science tutors! Our first meeting at lunch in Mr. Van Muyden's room S-9. All returning and interested MAST tutors are encouraged to come and sign up. You will earn volunteer hours and help other Blue Devils learn!

ACADEMICS/ OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
The PSAT is Saturday, 10/13. The cost is $24.00. There are NO Refunds and no transfers. Sales end 10/1. There are a limited number of tests available. If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor immediately.

*In-person sign-ups will be held during lunch only, 9/24 - 10/1 at the Finance Office outside window. Students or   parents can pay in person via credit card, cash or check payable to Davis High School or DHS.

Hey DHS! Ever wanted to try your hand performing? Maybe live your own High School Musical? Then DHS drama is the place for you! Drama board is calling all singers, actors, dancers, and potential stars to try out for the fall musical - "Little Women" come give it a try this Thursday & Friday at the Drama Workshop. Then come to auditions, September 10-12th. for more information, go to room P-11!

Calling All Dancers! Applications are now available for " So you think you can Dance" the event is on Oct. 13th come by yourself or in a group and win up to $150.00, see Mrs. Gardias in PA-8 for more details.

Attention Blue Devils! On September 25th at the Library West conference room, is your last chance to get your ID's and pictures Retake. Please make sure to take your ASB receipt if you have purchased an ASB or need a correction to your ID. Life touch will be on campus from 7:30am-1:00pm. We will see you there!

Calling all artists, photographers, and writers! Submissions for the fall/winter issue of SPOKE, a student run literacy magazine, are now open! The theme is "The Four Seasons". CLUBS:
Did you know the voice actor of Olaf, Josh Gad, was on his high school Speech & Debate Team? Come to the speech & Debate Team's introductory lunch meeting on September 11th in N-2 Mr. Ferguson's room to learn more!

Hey DHS! CSF registration starts next week outside P-13 at lunch and runs through September 21st. be sure to have $5 dollars, last semester's report card, and a filled out pink application form. Pink applications are available in P-13 starting Thursday.

Come to the Black Bear diner on September 11th from 4-8pm to support the Davis FFA! Online orders will count. No flyer necessary to support the cause!
Model United Nations meets every Tuesday at lunch in P-25. It's a fun club to discuss world issues. Come join Model United Nations this Tuesday in Mr. Haw's room.

Hey, hey, hey it's Friendship Day! Don't forget to turn in your friendship day permission slips before Wednesday the 12th. If you forget, bring the permission slip with you to Friendship Day on Friday the 14th. All aboard the Friendship! Toot Toot!

It's time to register for National Honor Society! Registration dates are Monday September 10th - Friday September 21st at lunch in front of room S-12. Bring a transcript and $5 dollars. Returning members bring your hour's sheet. See you there!

Hey Key Clubbers! We will be having our first general meeting is this Wednesday September 12th, in room S-12 during lunch! Hope to see you there!

CAREERS:
Are you interested in being a Walker Creek CABIN LEADER?  If so, cabin leaders are needed for Patwin Elementary's Walker Creek trip in November.  Cabin leaders must work well with children, enjoy being in the outdoors, and be in good standing with the high school.  Come to the Career Center for an application.

JOB OPPORTUNITY:  The City of Davis is now hiring JUNIOR BASKETBALL COACHES and OFFICIALS.   Pay is $12.00 per hour. Students will work between 3-10 hours per week and will teach basic basketball fundamentals and skills for 3rd through 6th grade boys and girls basketball teams.  Come to the Career Center for information on how to apply.



Juniors interested in learning what it is like to be an FBI agent can now apply for the FBI Teen Academy held on Friday, November 16 at the Sacramento FBI headquarters.  At the academy, students will learn about FBI careers, the types of cases the FBI investigates, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle free of crime, drugs, gangs and violence .  Deadline to apply is October 1.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
