    Davis Senior High School Daily Bulletin

THIS DAY IN HISTORY: 1910 - Blanche S. Scott became the first woman to make a public solo airplane flight in the United States.
MENU DHS:

  *   Breakfast Served Daily:  Cereal w/Graham Cracker, Breakfast Pizza, Assorted Breakfast Sandwiches, Scones, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Pancakes w/ Sausage, Assorted Muffins, Chicken & Biscuit Slider, Yogurt Parfait w/Graham Cracker.
  *   Grab & Go Hot Chocolate & Muffin & Fruit Cinnamon Rolls.
Lunch: Happy Taco Tuesday! ASC Café is now serving fish, chicken, ground beef and vegan tacos!
Reminder - Wednesday morning the ASC Café is open for breakfast from 7:45-8:53. If you get to school early we look forward to you joining us for breakfast. We are currently offering a new croissant breakfast sandwich with turkey ham, cheese, and egg.

ATTENTION SENIORS! Prestige will be on campus November 2nd for Senior Portraits Retake in the Library West Conference room from 8:30am-3:30pm. Please if you do not receive an appointment slip during 3rd period prior to this date, make sure you contact Prestige to make your appointment any questions please come to the office and see Ms. Cabrera VP Secretary for further information. Don't miss this opportunity to be in the yearbook and make this a lifetime memory.

DHS PTA Newsletter Submissions Thursday, October 25, 2018 is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the November edition of the Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. to the DHS PTA Media Listserve at DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>.Be sure to include your name, email address and phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission and also note that not every submission will be automatically included. Inclusion is at the discretion of our communications committee and is subject to timing, the appropriate venue(s), and frequency of the request(s).The newsletter is the ONLY communication tool that reaches ALL DHS families, whether they have internet access or not. The newsletter is generally published around the first of each month.  This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.

FUN FACT! Walmart has lower acceptance rate than Harvard. However if you're looking to get into Harvard, join quiz bowl because we have a 100% acceptance rate. Come to Quiz Bowl Wednesday s at lunch in P-14, Mr. William's room.
Haunted House - Saturday October 27th. Calling all thrill seekers! Come to the student-run haunted house, Cirque Du Scare, at 2620 Corona Drive in Davis from 7pm-midnight. Tickets are $5 at the door and benefit the DHS Jazz Choir.  Get ready to be scared - are you brave enough to enter the Cirque Du Scare haunted house?

Did you know that the hummingbird is the only bird that can fly backwards? Come to Environmental Club to see how you can help improve DHS Gardens to attract more hummingbirds. We can meet every Thursday during lunch in room
S-10. Everyone is welcome!
