ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
SENIORS! Do you know about the tradition of Davis Grad Night? Davis Grad Night is a fun, safe and sober all-night celebration for graduating seniors from the four high schools within the District (Davis Senior High School, DaVinci High School, Martin Luther King High School and DSIS). The party is held at Emerson Junior High School, with the entire campus transformed into a nightclub filled with activities, hundreds of raffle prizes and an all-night cafe. The decorations theme changes every year and is top secret until it is revealed at Grad Night. About 90% of the graduating class attends the event. For financial assistance, please visit your counselor.

Blue Devil Book Drive! Bring a book to school and make a difference for families in need. The Blue Devil Book Drive will donate all books to the STEAC (pronounced STAKE) (Short Term Emergency Aid Committee) Holiday Program. Several English teachers are collecting books in their classrooms; staff may also donate by using the boxes in the Staff Lounge.  We will accept gently used books for children of all ages: from babies to teenagers. Books for older readers and books in Spanish are especially needed. Bring one, bring a bunch! All donations will be greatly appreciated.

This Friday November 30th there will be a Vaping Presentation as part of our Student Health Wellness monthly series during 3rd period UC Davis is doing the presentation. The location is yet to be determined. You can signed up on the main page of the DHS website. Once signed up you will be excused from your 3rd period class on Friday.

CLUBS:
Davis FFA is collecting sheets, towels, and pillow cases that will be used as bandages for cattle, horses, and other animals burned in the fire. Donations are being collected in room O-1A through this Friday.

Looking for a holiday gift? Davis FFA is selling See's Candy through Monday December 3rd. find a member to get your treats and support the Davis FFA.

Looking for something fun and competitive? Dodgeball season is starting! Applications are available in ASC-100 and will be accepted no later than December 7th.

Interested in Astrochemistry? Come to S-5 on Friday at lunch to join Women in Stem in welcoming Sommer Johansen, a researcher studying astrochemistry. Her lab is even funded by NASA! Don't miss out!

Hey CSF! Our fifth general meeting is this Friday, November 30th, in P-13 at lunch. Come hear about our new projects and fulfill your semester meeting requirements. Hope to see you there! If you signed up to bring STEAC donations, they are needed ASAP!

Guys, gals, and non-binary pals! Come to the GSA meeting this Friday at lunch in Mrs. Istas room, L-29 up the stairs on the right side of the library.
