Davis Senior High School Daily Bulletin

  *   Breakfast Serve Daily:  Cereal w/Graham Cracker, Breakfast Pizza, Assorted Breakfast Sandwiches, Scones, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Pancakes w/ Sausage, Assorted Muffins, Chicken & Biscuit Slider, Yogurt Parfait w/Graham Cracker.
  *   Grab & Go Hot Chocolate & Muffin & Fruit Cinnamon Rolls.
  *   Lunch: Spicy Double Teriyaki Burger w/ Pepper jack Cheese topped w/ Slaw served w/ Cajun Fries / Grilled Vegetable Sandwich on WG Sourdough w/ Garlic and Roasted Pepper Aioli.

The 9th Annual RSJ Research Symposium will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the North Gym.  Students from the (9) sections of RSJ will presenting their research projects.  Starting at 6 p.m. one group will do a formal presentation of their work.
English Learner Advisory Committee-Upcoming Reclassification Celebration
DHS has many amazing bilingual students on our campus. Some of these brilliant scholars come with one language and develop their second (English) during their time at DHS. Our English Learner Advisory (ELAC)Committee will meet at 5:30 pm to celebrate the four Davis High School students who are reclassifying Fluent English Proficient this year. All are welcome!

ATHLETICS:
All 10th & 11th grade girls interested in trying out for DHS Girls Volleyball in the Fall, please attend the player/parent info meeting on Tuesday, May 22, 5pm, in the DHS south gym.  Contact Coach Julie Crawford for any additional info at jcrawford at djusd.net<mailto:jcrawford at djusd.net>
Athletes: If you have signed or will be signing a letter of intent to play a sport at the collegiate level, we want to celebrate you on May 30th @ 12:10pm in the Quad. Please stop by the athletic secretary desk in the main office to pick up your information sheet. Information sheets are due to the athletic department by May 23rd to participate in the event. All levels of college participation are encouraged to participate. If you have, any questions stop by and see us.
With the permission of AD Lorenson, we have the opportunity to provide DHS singers the chance to SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM before football games. SIGN-UPS are happening NOW. ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Seniors - Grad Night is next month and time is running out to buy your tickets!
About 90% of the graduating class attends Grad Night. Tickets are still available for $85 at davisgradnight.org<http://davisgradnight.org/>, but only until May 30. After that, you will only be able to buy tickets at the door for $100. A single ticket guarantees that you can enjoy all of the activities - including arcade games, casino, hypnotist show, inflatables, henna tattoos and raffles (with big prizes!) - plus a café with unlimited food and beverages served all night long. All graduating seniors are invited to attend Grad Night - if you have a financial hardship, please contact your school's counseling office to discuss scholarship options to help cover the cost of your ticket. Seniors, there will be a very important Senior Assembly on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:40am in the North Gym!  During this assembly, you will receive important information regarding prom, senior awards night, grad night, graduation, and more!  Cap/gown/tassel units will be distributed at the end of the assembly.

CLUBS:
Juniors enrolled in the AP English Literature and Composition course for the 2018-19 year will not be assigned a summer reading assignment.
