Athletes: If you have signed or will be signing a letter of intent to play a sport at the collegiate level, we want to celebrate you on May 30th @ 12:10pm in the Quad. Please stop by the athletic secretary desk in the main office to pick up your information sheet. Information sheets are due to the athletic department by May 23rd to participate in the event. All levels of college participation are encouraged to participate. If you have, any questions stop by and see us.
ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Hey Seniors, it's almost time for prom! Prom tickets will be on sale until May 11th Prices: $80 without ASB $75 with ASB at the Finance office at lunch. To buy a ticket you must have a table organizer and a new dance contract turned in. both of these forms are available now in the finance office.

Attention sophomores and junior who want to make Davis High a better place. 2018-19 Link Crew applications are available in room L-20 and on the DHS website. Join the crew to welcome next year's incoming students and have a ton of fun.

Sign up for Advance Education: Receive college credit while in high school. CA residents only $15 for a full college class. Attend one of the three sessions to learned more and sign up. It will take place on May 3rd from 12:10pm - 2:45pm @ the DSHS East Conference Room. Requirements: 2.7 GPA, at least 16 years old or 10th grade completed, Principle or Counselor Permission. For further info, contact Mrs. Kellie Sequeira.

CLUBS:
The DHS Car show is Saturday, April 28th from 9:00am to 12:00pm in the North Gym Parking Lot. Vehicle entry is free and everyone is welcome. Stop by room O-3 or follow @dhscarclub on Instagram for more information.

The HUB is looking for a webmaster for the upcoming school year. The webmaster is recommended to have some basic experience with word press but that is not required, come to L-28 to apply.

Ready to test your knowledge on Africa, the 1960's, and pop- culture? Come join us from 6-8pm at the All Student Center this Friday for ACADECA'S very special Tricia Night! Student or staff admission is $5 dollars and general admission $7. Have fun answering trivia questions to win amazing prizes! See you there!
Guys, gals, and nonbinary pals! This Friday is GLSEN's Day of Silence, a student-led national event where people vow to stay silent to highlight the erasure of LGBTQ people at school. Come to the quad during lunch this week to take a vow of silence, or just participate on your own and as always, the GSA  will be having a meeting in Mr. Moore's room P-21 on Friday during.

This Friday is Open Mic Night at 6:00pm! Come see your friends perform stand-up and poetry, and maybe perform some music of your own because there will also be karaoke! Admission is free but there will be hot dogs and hamburgers for sale.

CAREERS:
College Night for Juniors and their parents is Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. starting in the Richard Brunelle Performance Hall.  At College Night, juniors will learn about public and private colleges, universities, community colleges, scholarships, financial aid and more during breakout sessions.  Join us on April 26 to find out more about the process of applying to college.
Juniors and seniors are invited to apply for a Leadership and Professional Development Spring Internship where you will gain experience in political campaign management and community engagement.  Come to the Career Center for an internship flyer.
The City of West Sacramento is offering its Summer STEPS full-time, paid student internship program where students will gain work experience with the City of West Sacramento.  Deadline to apply is April 30.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
If you are interested in attending Sacramento City College, come to the Career Center on Thursday April 26 after school at 2:40 pm to hear a Sacramento City College representative discuss when and how to apply, how to choose a major, paying for college and more!
