DHS Boys Lacrosse Break the Record Night & Senior Night - Tuesday, April 24: Join us under the lights at Davis High Stadium on Tuesday, April 24 to watch DHS Boys' Lacrosse play Jesuit. JV Game starts at5:30pm, Varsity at 7:30p.m. Our graduating Seniors will be recognized before the Varsity game. Admission is free, and there will be food vendors and special guest performances. Come support DHS Lacrosse!

Are you interested in becoming a DHS cheerleader for the 2018-19 season?  Join us on April 18th or 19th for parent meetings to find out what cheer is all about!  All potential cheerleaders and one parent must attend either day (no need for both) to get information, meet the coach and ask questions.  Wednesday's meeting will take place in the DHS south gym beginning at 6:30pm and Thursday's meeting begins at 6:30pm in the DHS library.  Try-outs will take place on Friday, May 4th. ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Hey Seniors, it's almost time for prom! Prom tickets will be on sale until May 11th Prices: $80 without ASB $75 with ASB at the Finance office at lunch. To buy a ticket you must have a table organizer and a new dance contract turned in. both of these forms are available now in the finance office.

Hey DHS! Powderpuff applications for football and cheerleading are now available in ASC-100 and are due to the Finance Office Friday April 30th.

Attention sophomores and junior who want to make Davis High a better place. 2018-19 Link Crew applications are available in room L-20 and on the DHS website. Join the crew to welcome next year's incoming students and have a ton of fun.

DHS PTA Newsletter Submissions Monday, April 23rd, is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the May Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. to the DHS PTA Media Listserve at DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>.Be sure to include your name, email address and phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission and also note that not every submission will be automatically included. Inclusion is at the discretion of our communications committee and is subject to timing, the appropriate venue(s), and frequency of the request(s).The newsletter is the ONLY communication tool that reaches ALL DHS families, whether they have internet access or not. The newsletter is generally published around the first of each month.  This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.

CLUBS:
The DHS Car show is Saturday, April 28th from 9:00am to 12:00pm in the North Gym Parking Lot. Vehicle entry is free and everyone is welcome. Stop by room O-3 or follow @dhscarclub on Instagram for more information.

Last weekend the United States, Britain, and France launched strikes against Syria in retaliations against the recent use of chemical weapons on Syrian citizens. What are your thoughts about US intervention in Syria and elsewhere? Share them with DHS Politics Club this Friday at lunch in N-2.

Guys, gals, and nonbinary pals! Come to the GSA meeting this Friday at lunch to play some bingo in Mr. Moore's room, P-21 on the second floor near the elevator.

CAREERS:
College Night for Juniors and their parents is Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. starting in the Richard Brunelle Performance Hall.  At College Night, juniors will learn about public and private colleges, universities, community colleges, scholarships, financial aid and more during breakout sessions.  Join us on April 26 to find out more about the process of applying to college!
CAASPP TESTING:  Attention students - Please check with one of your teachers for your classroom assignment for the CAASPP testing weeks. Students will report to the same classroom during the testing block.
Sophomores: They will report to the same classroom the following days of the testing weeks for the Writing Assessment and assemblies
Juniors: They will report to the same classroom the following days of the testing weeks for ELA and Math
