All 9th & 10th grade boys interested in DHS Boys Soccer are encouraged to attend the Boys JV soccer informational meeting on Monday October 9th at 6:00 pm in the Davis High Library. This meeting will provide players and parent's information regarding upcoming tryouts for two possible boys JV teams. Season information will also be given about practices/games and expectations of the players. It is very important that you attend this meeting if you plan on trying out for Boys JV Soccer.

Volunteer opportunity at Holmes Jr. High:  Marci Montanari, counselor, is looking for three kind-hearted students to assist her in developing a program on mistreatment to present to junior high students. Seniors, Prestige Photography will be on campus on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 to take senior photos.

If you want to appear in the senior section of the yearbook, you must take your senior photo through Prestige. The cost is $20 if you wish to purchase proofs and select your yearbook photo, or free if you do not wish to purchase proofs.

DHS students are invited to learn about Restorative Practice and how it helps build community. Join DHS student discussion in the DHS Library October, 11th @ 2:30 pm. During the 2017-2018 school year...DHS is offering student Health & Wellness Events. Each month special presentations and workshops that support our student's health and wellness will be held during and after our school day. After School Events- Students attending an event after school should arrive at the location and time indicated on the flyers, in the bulletin, or on the counseling web page. During School Events student should sign-up on the counseling web page under Health and Wellness and sign-in at the event to get their class absence excused. Stay Healthy and Strong DHS!
CLUBS:
The first ultimate Frisbee Club meet this Friday at lunch in S-10. This club will provide an opportunity for students to learn and play ultimate Frisbee together. This club is open to anyone. No experience necessary.

Hey CSF, there is a general meeting this Friday, October 6 at lunch in room P-13. Come to hear about more volunteer opportunities and fulfill active lifetime membership requirements. Hope to see you there! The general meeting for Friday October 13 has been cancel due to Homecoming.

Guys, gals, and non-binary pals! Want to get involved in LGBTQ + Discussions. Come to the GSA meeting this Friday at lunch in Mr. Moore's room, P-11, on the second floor near the elevator.

Interested in the politics of civil rights? Come to N-2 this Friday for the weekly meeting of DHS Politics Club. Our topic this week is affirmative action. See you there!

CAREERS: SENIORS:  Need free money for college?  Then you should come to the DHS FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP on Thursday October 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the theater.  At the workshop you'll learn about the many types of student financial aid and how to complete financial aid applications.  All seniors and their parents are invited to attend.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Are you interested in studying abroad over the summer and on a scholarship?  If so, come to the Career Center this Friday, October 6 at lunch to hear an information session from CIEE about their high school study abroad summer programs all over the world.  Study abroad can help you earn college credits, community service hours, explore different countries and learn new languages.  See you in the Career Center Friday at lunch!
