Imagine a world without polar bears, we are not far away. Over 25,000 polar bears are at risk due to starvation and climate change. Come learn more at the WCC and the Environmental Club showing of "Before the Flood" with Leonardo DiCaprio at 7pm at the DHS Library. An inspiration to save the world.

Do you like drawing, painting or helping others? Then come to the Art for Cure meeting in L-27. We will be going over hospitals looking for art and future fundraisers.

Guys, gals, and non-binary pals! The GSA will be having a meeting at lunch in Mr. Moore's room P-21, on the second floor near the elevator. See you there!

ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Attention Senior Parents! Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about Grad Night? Grad Night tickets are now on sale. Every graduating senior in Davis (DaVinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this All-night, alcohol and drug free party on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 pm- 5:00am. Ticket includes all activities, food, and raffle entry.

Attention Seniors! Have you submitted your senior quotes and voted for senior mocks? Quotes and votes are due NEXT FRIDAY December 8th! The form can be found in your loop mail inbox.

Help the band get to Carnegie Hall.  The DHS Band Boosters are holding a fundraiser to support the band's trip to New York City at Panda Express Thursday 12/7 anytime between 11am and 10pm. CAREER:

If you are interested in research, come to the Career Center on Tuesday, December 5 at lunch to hear a representative from Pioneer Research Program discuss their college-level research opportunities for high school students. Students work online one-on-one with professors from top colleges to conduct sophisticated research projects that range from the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.  Students earn two college credits upon completion. Come to the Career Center to sign up.



A college admissions representative from Mills College will be in the Career Center on Tuesday, December 5 at 9:15.  Come to this visit to learn more about Mills College in Oakland.


The next Financial Literacy Class will be held in the Career Center on Friday, December 8 at lunch.  Pizza will be provided.  The DHS PTA, in partnership with the Yolo Federal Credit Union, is hosting the month's class which will cover how ATM and debit cards work, and ways to prevent identity theft and debit or credit card fraud. The class is limited to 30 students so come to the Career Center soon to sign up.
