DHS Boy's Lacrosse Info Night will be held on November 7 in the DHS Library at 7pm. We will be going over important information about the upcoming lacrosse season. We encourage all prospective and returning players and their parent to attend this meeting. All are welcome!
DHS Climate Meeting at lunch in the DSH Library.
Do you like painting, drawing or helping others? Then come to the first Art for Cure Club meeting in L-27 to create art to donate to hospitals.

ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Vets Parking Lot: If you park in the Vets Parking lot, please note that The City of Davis will be removing a large Cork Oak Tree at the Veterans Memorial Center on Wednesday, November 8th from 7 am - 2 pm. The work will close one lane of the entrance to the parking lot for public safety. Please arrive early as there will be delays while entering and exiting the parking lot.

Omigod! It's finally here! DHS Drama Department's fall musical Legally Blonde, will be opening this Friday, November 3rd at 7 p.m. in the Brunelle Performance Hall. The shows will run the next two weekends and student tickets are $10. We can't wait to see you there!

Spring break in Costa Rica: The deadline for signing up for the trip to Costa Rica will be November 15.  Please see Courtenay Tessler in counseling if interested.

Attention Senior Parents! Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about Grad Night? Grad Night tickets are now on sale. Every graduating senior in Davis (DaVinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this All-night, alcohol and drug free party on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 pm- 5:00am. Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment and noticing the thoughts and sensations that arise. Who should practice mindfulness? Everyone who would like to feel calmer, more connected, and generally happier. Mindfulness training will be held in room O-5 every Wednesday from 2:45 to 3:15pm. Dine-out Fundraiser this Wednesday - Eat a delicious healthy meal and help Jazz Choir at the same time. Our dine-out fundraiser will be this Wednesday, November 8 at Raja's Tandoor<http://www.rajastandoor.com/>  from 5pm-9pm. Hey Key Clubbers! We will be having a general meeting Wednesday, November 8th during lunch in S-12. Like usual, we will be discussing upcoming projects and events.

Spanish Language and Culture Club is meeting this Thursday during lunch in room O-6. Come join us to have fun and practice your Spanish!

CAREER:
Sophomores and juniors are invited to apply for one of two Telluride Association's 2018 all-expense paid summer programs.  Each program is a six-week seminar where students explore new academic interests, learn how to thrive in a college environment, improve their reading, writing, critical thinking, leadership and public speaking skills, and develop a sense of community responsibility.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Cabin leaders are still needed for Pioneer Elementary's trip to Walker Creek December 4-8.  Guys are encouraged to apply! Cabin leaders will meet this Wednesday at Pioneer to start planning the trip, so come to the Career Center SOON to pick up an application.

SENIORS:   The first step in receiving student financial aid for college is filling out the FAFSA application.  The FAFSA is available online now, so you should fill it out as soon as you can.   The deadline to apply March 2, but the earlier you submit the application, the more aid you may qualify for!  Come to the Career Center for information about the financial aid process and for help completing the FAFSA.
