Have you checked out the new Golden 1 Arena in Sacramento? Now is your chance! Come cheer on the Davis High Varsity Girls & Boys teams as they take on rivals St. Francis & Jesuit on Friday, January 5. Girls play at 6pm and boys play at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from a varsity team member or via the DHS Finance Office and webstore. This is a fundraiser for the DHS basketball programs. See you at the game!

ACDEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
Attention all DHS instrumental soloists this is a note to prepare you for this year's DHS Concerto Competition: The annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 7:00pm on stage in the DHS Brunelle Performance Hall. It is open to all DHS Instrumentalists and free to the public to view. The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:30pm as well as a check for $500.00. A sign-up sheet and informational flyer are now on the window of the computer lab in PA-3. It is important to start to plan for this event now and begin preparing your solos ASAP. Join the DHS Concert Choir, Madrigals Singers, Treble Choir, and members of the DHS Symphony Orchestra as the perform Handel's Messiah with guest soloists Lucy Fitzgibbon, Megan Buchanan, Matthew Zavod, and Don Killmer.

Attention Senior Parents! Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about Grad Night? Grad Night tickets are now on sale. Every graduating senior in Davis (Da Vinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this All-night, alcohol and drug free party on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 pm- 5:00am. Ticket includes all activities, food, and raffle entry.

PSAT Scores: Online scores are now available at https://studentscores.collegeboard.org/ , from 12/14 to 1/31/18. Paper scores reports will be available late January.
Davis Parent University - Dan Siegel (The Yes Brain) event Jan 10, 2018
DPU's January 10, 2018 event with Dan Siegel, MD, New York Times bestselling author of The Yes Brain, at DHS' Brunelle Hall, is currently sold out.  Ticket holders should arrive no later than 6:45pm, to guarantee their seat. Walk-ins are welcome and will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 6:50pm.  In past lectures, all walk-ins have been accommodated.  We hope to see you there!

CLUBS:
Guys, gals, and non-binary pals - it's time for another Movie Night! The GSA will be showing "Princess Cyd" on Thursday night from 6-8pm in Mr. Moore's room. P-21, on the 2nd floor near the elevator. See our posters for more details.

BSU is sponsoring a SOCK DRIVE for the holidays. Please take donations to Mrs. Bruch, room P11.  You can donate socks, books, toiletries or any item you would like to donate for the homeless.
CAREER:
