This week is Transgender Awareness Week! Over a million adults in the U.S. identify as transgender, but 75% of trans youth feel unsafe at school. Awareness week ends on Transgender Day of Remembrance, this Sunday, November 20 - a day to honor people who have died because of anti-trans violence. If you want to learn how to get involved, come to the GSA meeting today in L-20 at lunch.

Canned food drive is here! Bring cans to your 4th period class from now to November 18th. Classes with 15 cans or more on their collection days will receive a sweet surprise and the overall winning class gets a pizza party! And remember, yes we CAN!

Come to Mr. Lee's room L-14 for Asian Student Union at lunch on Friday! As always, we will have food and games, so bring your friends!

Friday, November 18, 2016 is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the December/January Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. to the DHS PTA Media List serve at DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>. Include name, email address and phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about the submission. Please note that not every submission will be automatically included. Inclusion is at the discretion of our communications committee and is subject to timing, appropriate venue(s), and frequency of the request(s). The newsletter is the ONLY communication tool that reaches ALL DHS families, whether they have internet access or not. This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities. The newsletter is generally published around the first of each month.

SENIORS: Hey Seniors! It is time to submit your senior quotes and vote for senior mocks! When you are ready to submit, check the news section of School Loop or your loop mail/inbox for information on how to submit. Quotes and Votes are due no later than December 23rd.
