Athletics - There will be a Winter Athlete/Parent meeting on November 14th at 6:30pm in the North Gym.  All students that participate on a winter sports team must attend with at least one parent.

Winter sports tryouts begin November 7th. If you plan to tryout, please make sure to bring your completed sports physical packet to the Athletics Office to get your clearance card. If you are currently participating in a Fall sport, stop by to get a copy of your clearance card to take to your Winter tryout.

Girls interested in trying out for the DHS girls' basketball team! Tryouts begin Monday, Nov 7 in the South gym @ DHS. Must turn in sports paperwork and receive your athletic clearance card in order to try out. Tryout times: seniors/juniors 4-6pm, sophomores/freshman 6-8pm. The Freedom From Hunger Club is holding a shoe drive on Wednesday from 8:30-8:50 am in L-25.  Please donate new or lightly-used shoes to give to people in need.

Do you want to know how it feels to be on the courtroom floor and learn about the process of law?  Then join Mock Trial Club!  Meeting Wednesdays at lunch in Room N-4.  Hope to see you there!

CABIN LEADERS are needed for North Davis Elementary School's trip to Walker Creek January 9-13. Applications are available in the Career Center.  The deadline to apply is November 2.

JOB OPPORTUNITY:  The City of Davis is hiring JUNIOR BASKETBALL COACHES and OFFICIALS.   Pay ranges from $10.50 - $12.28 per hour. Students will work between 3-10 hours per week.  Coaches and officials will teach basic basketball fundamentals and skills for 3rd through 6th grade boys and Girls basketball teams.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

ACADEMICS: SAT @ DSHS - 11/5 Students registered to take the SAT at DSHS on Saturday, 11/5 please report to N4 by 7:30am and bring your admission ticket and photo ID.  No late admittance.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Blue Devils! Be sure to come and see the fall drama 'First Date!' It's a lighthearted show with an awesome cast that could make anyone smile.  Show starts November 4.  Tickets are on sale online, $16 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for students.  Come with your first date and get $1 off! See you there!

Students, bus passes are sold in the Finance Office at lunchtime only.  $6 will buy a 10 ride pass, $25 will buy a month's pass.  Cash only, please!

OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  Davis FFA will be selling tickets for the UC Davis Football game on November 5th.  Tickets may be bought Ms. Ozga in the Finance Office from November 2 through November 4 and are $20.  Part of the proceeds will go to supporting Davis FFA.

Come vote in a mock General Election on Tuesday, November 8th in the quad!

Canned food drive is here!  Bring cans to your 4th period class from November 7th to the 18th.  Classes with 15 cans or more on their collection days will receive a sweet surprise and the overall winning class gets a pizza party!  And remember, yes we CAN!

The DHS Blackout shirts are still available to purchase.  They are $5.  Come by the Athletic Department to purchase your black-out shirt while supplies last!

CLUBS: Hey guys and gals!  The Unicef meeting is next Monday, November 7.  We will be holding our meeting in Room L-23 at lunch! We will be talking about our next event and other general club information.  We also have food!  Hope to see you there!
