Football Parents (Frosh, JV & Varsity): please attend a brief information meeting on Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00-6:30 pm in the DHS Library.  We will cover: summer practice, summer schedule, scrimmage, game schedule and team wellness program.

Tennis enthusiasts...it's that time of year to gear up for the DHS Girls Tennis Team. There will be a girls' tennis team meeting on Wednesday, May 25 at 6:00 at DHS room N-08. We are happy to announce that we will be having a Varsity AND JV team next year so be sure and come to our meeting! You can be a beginner and start on the JV! Past players, parents and newbies, please plan on attending. There will be important tryout dates announced.

TODAY: If you are interested in studying abroad in the future, come to the Career Center at lunch on Wednesday, May 18 to hear UC Davis Study Abroad program alumni explain how to choose a study abroad program, receive financial aid and what it's like to spend a quarter, summer or year abroad.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Senior Ball pictures are in and can be picked up at the Front Desk.  Bring ID! Pictures must be in the name of the student picking them up!

All students signed up for AP US History next year: please come to the library at the beginning of lunch on Tuesday, May 24th.  You will be picking up the Summer Assignment and checking out the APUSH textbook (bring your student ID).  See you there!

JUNIORS: Counselors will be meeting in the Career Center on Tuesday, the 24th at lunch to answer any questions you have about applying to college, and asking for letters of recommendation.  Also, UCs have changed their essay questions this year and counselors will have copies of the essay prompts to pass out.  Drop on by!

Attention Juniors:  Mandatory meeting Thursday, May 19 at lunch in the library for students signed up for the English Literature and Composition Advanced Placement course this coming school year.  Please bring IDs.

Attention Seniors! Davis Grad Night tickets will be sold at lunch on the Quad and after 5th period by the parking lot.  $90 or see your counselor for a scholarship.

Get your kindergarten photos for Grad Night in to the Front Office if you haven't already or submit by email at daviskinderwall at gmail.com<mailto:daviskinderwall at gmail.com>.  Photos are due by June 1.  Don't get left out!  Share your cute photo with all your friends at Grad Night!

Yearbook distribution is next week at lunch in the South Gym on May 23, 24 and 25.  Seniors- May 23, Juniors/Sophomores May 24, Makeup - May 25.  Bring your ID cards!  Not sure if you bought one?  Check the list outside the Administrative Finance Office window.

Attention seniors, Graduation tickets are now on sale during lunch at the Finance Office.  The cost is $8 each.  You may also purchase tickets through the Blue Devil online store on the DSHS Webpage.  If you have not requested your 4 free tickets, please come to the main office today and see Ms. Carmen Schnathorst. Tickets will be on sale until May 20, 2016.

Did you lose a ring at Senior Ball?  I may have found it.  Check in with Ms. Sandberg in Room S-10 to identify and claim.

Davis Sr. High School was awarded a HUMBLE HONEYBEE PROJECT GRANT and Planet Bee Foundation will be visiting Mr. Bastin's Environmental Science courses on Thursday May 19, 2016!  Please stop by Mr. Bastin's class in passing to see the set up and the Planet Bee Foundation representatives for information about starting your own colony and becoming a bee keeper!

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  Do you want to be a volunteer on a local grassroots campaign to support Measure A?  If so, come to the Career Center at lunch on Friday to learn from UCD students how to gain valuable experience participating in a political campaign.  This is a good way to earn volunteer hours!

Are you looking for a summer job?  Regal Movie Theaters is hiring for the summer!  Come to the Career Center for a job flyer.

Student Comedy Night has been moved to May 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm.  Come out and show us your funny side! Applications are available in N-01A.

CLUBS:  A reminder for Key Clubbers!  There will be a general meeting on Thursday in Room S-12 at lunch.  Come for information about our spring special, projects and food.

Attention CSF, our LAST meeting will be this Friday @ lunch in Room P-13.  We hope to see you there, especially if you haven't fulfilled your two meeting requirement.
