IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  DSHS - DVCA New Schedule Information Night: A committee has been working on the 2017-2018 school year.  The committee was formed in December, 2015 after the Board of Education directive to implement a later start schedule for our secondary students.  We invite all parents to join us for a presentation of the committee's work and an opportunity to discuss sample schedules that are being considered.  Monday, May 16, 2016 7:00 pm DHS Library.

Are you interested in hosting a Korean high school student from July 15th to July 18th?  Or a Korean middle school student from July 22nd to July 23rd? Please come to the 7th Annual RSJ Research Symposium on Tuesday, May 17th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Davis High South Gym.  There will be 43 RSJ projects related to issues experienced by students at DHS.  Come learn about the results stemming from all those surveys you too!

Attention seniors, Graduation tickets are now on sale during lunch at the Finance Office.  The cost is $8 each.  You may also purchase tickets through the Blue Devil online store on the DSHS Webpage.  If you have not requested your 4 free tickets please come to the main office today and ask to speak with Ms. Carmen Schnathorst. Tickets will be on sale until May 20, 2016.

Davis Sr. High School was awarded a HUMBLE HONEYBEE PROJECT GRANT and Planet Bee Foundation will be visiting Mr. Bastin's Environmental Science courses on Thursday May 19, 2016!  Please stop by Mr. Bastin's class in passing to see the set up and the Planet Bee Foundation representatives for information about starting your own colony and becoming a bee keeper!

Did you lose a ring at Senior Ball?  I may have found it.  Check in with Ms. Sandberg in Room S-10 to identify and claim.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  The Devil Day Car Show is this Saturday, May 14, from 10am-3pm on the quad! Drop by for a few minutes or stay for the whole time. Music, cool cars and food from Steve's Pizza and Dos Coyote will be available for purchase. See you this Saturday at the Devil Day Car Show!

Attention music lovers, International recording artist electric violinist Mark Wood, an original member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and creator of the revolutionary music education program "Electrify Your Strings!" is coming to Davis on Saturday, May 14th to perform at the Richard Brunelle Theater at DHS.  He and his band will perform with the DHS Choir and Orchestra program in an exciting rock extravaganza concert.  Date and Time: Saturday, May 1th 2016 - 1st concert is 6:00-7:30, Doors open at 5:30 2nd concert is 8:00-9:30, Doors open at 7:45.  Tickets are available in advance for $20.00 sold during lunch Thursday and Friday in front of the DHS theater box and at Watermelon Music downtown.  Cash is accepted and checks should be made payable to 'DSOMA.'

Attention Seniors! Davis Grad Night tickets will be sold at lunch on the Quad on Friday, May 13.  Tickets are $90.

Student Comedy Night has been moved to May 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm.  Come out and show us your funny side! Applications are available in N-01A.

Attention Juniors & Sophomores:  Are you not happy with your new 2016-17 schedule? Do you feel that you're missing that perfect class to bring it all together? Add the LEAD class to your schedule next year! Help promote goodwill and friendship in your school and community. Come talk to Mrs. Butler in L-21 if you're interested.
