Davis High School Basketball Camp will be held Monday, June 13 to Thursday, June 16, at the Davis Senior High School North Gym. The camp is open to fourth to eighth grade girls and boys, will run from 8am to noon. The Basketball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of basketball along with competitive games and drills. TODAY: The ASVAB free career exploration test will be administered today, Thursday, March 31 from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the library. The ASVAB will give you an idea of the type of career you might be best suited for.  Come to the Career Center to sign up for the ASVAB.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  The 2016 Senior Ball is almost here! Seniors are all invited to experience the Starry Night on April 30, 2016 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento.  Doors open at 6:30.  Tickets will be on sale in the Finance Office during lunch April 11 to April 22 and 8:15 am to 8:45 am on Wednesday, April 20.  Tables seat 10-your group must buy tickets at the same time to be seated together.  See the Senior Ball Table Organizer, available in the Office and at davishighstudentgovernment.wordpress.com.   Seniors and their guests can purchase tickets; if your guest is not a DJUSD student, complete a Guest Pass and submit it to your Vice Principal for approval by April 20. April 11-15: $70 with ASB; $75 without

CSF Seniors: If you are graduating as an ACTIVE lifetime member, you are eligible to apply for our chapter Scholarship.  Applications are available in P-13.  Deadline for submission is Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY:  The Gateway to Educate Yes on Measure A campaign is offering an 8-week spring internship opportunity that will provide students with experience in public relations, marketing, political advocacy, voter outreach, social media advertising, organizing community events and more.  Come to the Career Center by Friday April 1 for application instructions.

Get ready for 'A Tribute to Tony Fields' - a night filled with catchy Broadway tunes and awesome choreography!  Numbers include songs from 'Wicked,' 'Rent,' and 'A Chorus Line!'  Performances are on April 22 and 23 at 7:00 pm in the IPAB.

If you are a Senior, (class of 2016) in CSF, come to Room P-13 to check your membership status.  Initial next to your name to confirm or talk to Mrs. O'Brien if you have questions or concerns.

April is Autism Awareness Month and Saturday, April 2nd is World Autism Day!  Show your love and support for individuals diagnosed with Autism by helping create colorful collages made of puzzle pieces that will be posted all over campus!  A puzzle piece symbol reflects the mystery and complexity of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Since every puzzle piece is different in some way, a puzzle piece accurately represents the diversity of the individuals affected.  This Friday at lunch, come to the quad and look for the table with blue balloons...learn more about Autism, decorate a puzzle piece and get a special treat for a great cause!

JUNIORS:  There are still spots available for Rotary Club's all-expense paid Camp Royal youth leadership summer camp and Camp Venture for juniors interested in a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs.  Come to the Career Center for an application for one or both of these camps.  The deadline to apply is April 1.

SENIORS:  THIS FRIDAY APRIL 1 is the deadline to submit applications for many local scholarships! It's not too late to pick up local scholarship applications and fill them out.  Bring your completed applications to the Career Center this FRIDAY BY 4:00 P.M.!  On Friday afternoon, you can enter the Career Center through the Academic Center L-10.

Attention Seniors:  Applications are available to seniors interested in giving a speech during the 2016 Graduation ceremony.  Please ask Ms. Carmen Schnathorst for a Graduation Speech application.  The application and a typewritten speech are due April 1, 2016 by 4:00 pm.  Finalists will be invited to a live audition the week of April 11, 2016 with the speakers chosen and notified by April 22, 2016.  Got something important to say to the 2016 Graduating class?  Here is your chance!

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  Come see your nationally ranked Speech and Debate team at their showcase on April 12th!  The time is 7:00-9:00 pm and admission is $5.00.  Many English teachers are offering extra credit for attendance.
