Think you're funny?  Come to the Improv Club's informational meeting on Tuesday, March 8th in Room P-20 at lunch to learn about the art of creating a humorous performance on the spot.  Those that come will receive a free cupcake!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Wanted: Graduating Seniors with something to say!  The Class of 2016 needs graduating seniors who would like to give a speech to their classmates at graduation this year.  Graduation Speech Applications are available from Ms. Carmen Schnathorst in the office.  The application and typewritten speech are due April 1, 2016 by 4p.m.  Finalists will be invited to a live audition the week of April 11, 2016 with speakers chosen and notified by April 22, 2016.

Sacramento State College of Engineering and Computer Science is hosting an Engineering & Computer Science Expo on March 12 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.  The expo will feature numerous interactive activities, projects and the annual Robot Rumble.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: The City of Davis Teen Leadership Council is hosting a workshop for high school students who want to learn things like how to write a check, fill out job applications, pay taxes and more.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 9th at 5:00 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Center.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Come and see 'The Eden Project. '   You won't want to miss this galactic adventure!  Student tickets are $8 with ID.  Performances are 3/10, 3/11, 3/12 at 7:00 in the IPAB!

Hey Blue Devils! Have a burning desire to be a Friendship Day Facilitator?  Then today is your lucky day!  Pick up an application to be a Friendship Day Facilitator from Mr. Williams' room, P-14 or the Front Office and turn them in by March 18th.

Acme Auditions for Scapino, March 9-12 for Grades 9-12: Acme Theatre Company invites all 9th thru 12th grade students to audition for Scapino - a fast-paced, slapstick-y story of pirates, sneaky servants, kidnappings, and love conquering all!  Auditions will take place March 9 - 12. Rehearsals will be after school, March 28 - May 27.  Performances of this FREE Comedy in the Park, will take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-30, at the Davis Arts Center Outdoor Stage, 1919 F St, Davis. The City of Davis has two part-time summer jobs available in their aquatics department for a lifeguard and a swim instructor. Come to the Career Center for a more information and a flyer for each job.

It's College Tour time!  The City of Davis is offering its annual So-Cal College Tour Trip for high school students.  Colleges on the tour are UC Santa Cruz, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Santa Barbara, University of Southern California, California Institute of the Arts and Claremont McKenna College.  The trip will take place the week of March 21-24.  Cost is $500 which includes transportation, college tours, breakfast, dinner and hotels.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Lead Class applications are available in L-23 or the Front Office.  Be a peer helper next year and make a difference for our Blue Devil Family!

The Davis Homeless Shelter needs your help!  Items needed include warm clothes, canned or non-perishable foods and soaps and shampoos.  There is a donation box inside the Front Office.
