The Davis High School track and field team is looking for jumpers, sprinters, throwers, hurdlers and distance runners! If you are interested in joining the 2016 Track and Field team, please attend an informational meeting on January 13 in the DHS Library. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. TODAY: Blue Devil Basketball and the Sacramento Kings make a great team! Come watch our Varsity Blue Devils take on their rivals St. Francis & Jesuit on Friday, January 8th. Games will be played at Sleep Train Arena: Girls Varsity @ 6:00pm and Boys Varsity @ 7:30pm. Three exciting games for one price! Tickets are $30 which includes both our January 8th game and the February 24th Sacramento Kings vs. San Antonio Spurs game. Tickets can be purchased from a Varsity Blue Devil Basketball Team member or at the Davis High Finance Office. Tickets can also be purchased Friday night at Sleep Train Arena. Questions? You'll learn what it takes to get into medical school, how to be a successful pre-med student, give shots, measure blood pressure, witness and perform a suture procedure and more. If so, you should attend the annual Steps to College Fair to learn about college opportunities and financial aid available to Latino students. Buy your tickets for Davis Idol and get ready to be captivated by their talent. Preliminary nights are on January 22nd and 23rd with the finale on January 30th and are in the IPAB at 7:00 pm.
If you liked 'Band Geeks,' here's your chance to get on stage! 'A Tribute to Tony Fields' is a pop music musical with fun songs and choreography. Come and audition for this awesome show! Auditions are January 19th at 4:00 pm and January 20th at 3:00 pm in P-11.
Remember that auditions for the spring play, 'The Eden Project' are this Tuesday, January 12th at 4:00 pm and Wednesday, January 13th at 3:00 pm in P-11. This original Sci-Fi play is something you won't want to miss!
CLUBS: Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School Mathematics Honor Society with over 75,000 student members in more than 1,500 schools. The DHS Mu Alpha Theta chapter sponsors the Davis Senior High School Math Team which competes in regional monthly meets and organizes the annual Davis Math Tournament for elementary and middle school students. Come to the meeting this Thursday, 1/14 for more information in N-5 at lunch.
