THIS DAY IN HISTORY:  1984 - The space shuttle Discovery lifted off for the first time. On the voyage three communications satellites were deployed.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Attention Independent Lifetime Sports Students: If your schedule says you are enrolled in Independent Lifetime Sports for Fall, during 7th period, your first mandatory class meeting date will be Thursday, September 8th during 7th period block, in the small gym. CLUBS:  Are you interested in international affairs?  Come "Russian" on over to Model UN this Thursday, September 1st in P-25, Mr. Haws' room.  There will be lots of "Swede" treats!

Come join Best Buddies to make friendships that will last forever.  Best buddies creates one-on-one friendships with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Join us Tuesday, September 6 in C-4 across from the Attendance Window.

Interested in joining your nationally-ranked speech and debate team?  Come to our informational meeting this Thursday at lunch in P-23, Ms. Widman's room to learn more.

The DHS Car Club will hold its first meeting at lunch on Thursday, September 1st in O-3.  You're invited!  The DHS Car Club is for students who are passionate about cars.  Past club activities have included field trips, car care days and the Devil Day Car Show.  Come check out car club this year and bring your ideas and energy!
