Hello comrades! We have opened the Russian Club and you are all welcome to join us to learn the Russian language and culture as well.  We meet every Thursday, P-24 during lunch.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Senior Portrait Make-Up Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015 here at DSHS. Hey! It's ...HOMECOMING!  The Fall Dance is October 10th and tickets are available at the Finance Office at lunch for $10 with ASB or $15 without.  The price will go up next week.  You can also buy them online at the DHS Web Store.  Students must have a valid dance contract on file!

Attention CSF Members!  This Friday, October 2 will be CSF first general meeting in P-13 at lunch.  We will talk about CSF future events and meetings.  Remember that you need to attend at least two meetings every semester for active membership.  We hope to see you there!

Our fall musical, 'Band Geeks' is approaching!  Performances are at the IPAB in November; 11/6, 11/7, 11/12, 11/13 and 11/14 at 7:00 pm.  There is a performance on 11/8 at 2:00 pm.  Pre-sale ticket sales start soon!

It's that time of year again! Homecoming!  Every year student Government holds a contest where each 4th period class decorates their door based on the year's homecoming theme.  This year's theme is Music Genres: Sophomores are country, Juniors are rock and Seniors are hip-hop.  The Student Government class will pick a winner and the class will get a prize.  Contact Mr. Vasquez if interested!

CABIN LEADERS are needed for Montgomery Elementary' s Walker Creek trip that takes place November 30 - December 4. Please come to the Career Center for an application.
Pioneer Elementary school is looking for after school tutors to volunteer their time to help support student learning and provide a mentor type relationship.  Tutoring is needed from 2:30-4:00 or 3:00-4:00 on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. Come to the Career Center for more information.

The Junior Class is looking for a guitarist, drummer or band to play rock music on the junior class float during the Homecoming Parade.  If you are a junior and want your band to play on the float, please contact Arzoo Manandhar or swing by Student Government in Room N-1A.

Hey Juniors! Are you interested in being on the junior class float this year?  If so, we will be having a float building meeting on Friday, October 2nd in Mr. Salcedo's room, O-6!  Float building is a great way to get involved at DHS and get community service hours!  See you there!

All Students - Interested in leaving the legacy of the ALL Student Center?  We are looking for your input and participation during the design and construction phases of this project.  Your commitment would be 4 - 6 lunch meetings with the committee.  FREE LUNCH is provided for committing to serving on this committee. PSAT is Wednesday, 10/14!! The cost is $24.00. There are NO Refunds and no transfers. Sales end 10/9. If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor immediately.

Hey DHS Students!  Are you interested in being an influential role model and mentor to students who face challenges in different ways?  Come to C-4 Friday at lunch to join the Lunch Bunch Club to strengthen the connection of all students in the DHS community.

Are you interested in joining the Environmental Club to help with the Energy Audit and with the gardens on school campus?  Come join the Environmental Club at lunch every Friday in Room S-10.
