The Davis High School Snowboard Team is having an informational meeting on Monday September 28th, at 7:00 PM in the high school library. The team is open to all high school men and women. All interested student athletes and parents come find out how much fun you can have on the snow this year!

Calling all girls! Are you interested in rugby?  There's going to be an informational meeting about girls' rugby on Wednesday, September 30 at 2:35 in front of the football stadium.  Hope to see you there!

Do you need community service hours?  Come to the Spanish Tutoring Club on Monday, 9/28 in Señora Candelario's room S-6 to sign up for tutoring shifts.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  It's that time of year again! Homecoming!  Every year student Government holds a contest where each 4th period class decorates their door based on the year's homecoming theme.  This year's theme is Music Genres: Sophomores are country, Juniors are rock and Seniors are hip-hop.  The Student Government class will pick a winner and the class will get a prize.  Contact Mr. Vasquez if interested!

The Junior Class is looking for a guitarist, drummer or band to play rock music on the junior class float during the Homecoming Parade.  If you are a junior and want your band to play on the float, please contact Arzoo Manandhar or swing by Student Government in Room N-1A.

Hey Juniors! Are you interested in being on the junior class float this year?  If so, we will be having a float building meeting on Friday, October 2nd in Mr. Salcedo's room, O-6!  Float building is a great way to get involved at DHS and get community service hours!  See you there!

All Students - Interested in leaving the legacy of the ALL Student Center?  We are looking for your input and participation during the design and construction phases of this project. ACADEMICS/CAREER/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Interested in improving your Spanish and learning about the Latin culture?  Come join Latinas Unidas in O-6 on Tuesday.  We'll have delicious snacks!  Don't miss out!

State thy ideas on life, humanity and morality.  For this is Philosophy Club.  Thou art welcomed to join every Monday in P-21.  We hope to see your empty vessel there.

Help bring Blue Devil spirit to the new Brunelle Theater student usher program.  Earn volunteer hours, gain customers service skills, and get to see performances for free.  Orientations are Tuesday September 29th, 7-8pm    and   Wednesday, September 30th at 2:45pm-3:45   in the lobby at the front of the Brunelle Theater.   All are welcome!  No experience necessary!

Have you ever wanted to volunteer but don't know where to go or how to start?  If so, you should attend the Yolo County Library's Community Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, October 7 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Davis Arts Center to find volunteer opportunities in Davis.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Sacramento State invites migrant and ESL students to attend their College Assistance Migrant Program to help students succeed in college.  Representatives of the CAMP program will be in the Career Center at lunch on Wednesday September 30 to provide information about CAMP and discuss eligibility requirements for college.

The Dairy Council of Utah and Nevada is looking for students to play Trudy Moo, the cow mascot, at Fuel Up to Play assemblies in elementary schools in Davis to promote physical activity and healthy eating. Students will receive $35 dollars for participating.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Hello comrades! We have opened the Russian Club and you are all welcome to join us to learn the Russian language and culture as well.  We meet every Thursday, P-24 during lunch.

Are you interested in a career in healthcare?  Then come to a general meeting for the Healthcare Careers Club in the Career Center on Tuesday, September 29th.  There will be food!
