ANNOUNCEMENTS: The DHS Site Council is looking for dedicated students to join our Committee. The Site Council consists of Principal Brown, staff, parents and students. The Site Council discusses ways to improve student achievement and supports new programs at its monthly meetings. If you would like to help shape the future of our school, please pick up an application from Vice-Principal McHale in the office by Tuesday, September 22. Applications are due by noon on Wednesday, September 23.
PSAT is Wednesday, 10/14!! The cost is $24.00. There are NO Refunds and no transfers. Sales end 10/9. If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor immediately.

ACADEMICS/CAREER/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: NHS (National Honor Society) is starting soon! Registration will run from September 21-October 2 at lunch outside of S-12. You will need to have at least a 3.4 GPA, student ID, a transcript from last semester and $5. Active members, please also bring your hour sheets from last semester.
Help for College! On 9/17, we will have a CSU Workshop at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Theater.
CLUBS/EVENTS: Calling all seniors! Want to help build an amazing homecoming float? Bring out your inner Veezus and and come to Ms. McInturf's classroom at N-1 Friday at lunch for the first float meeting. Contact Morgan Metler or Eric Smith with questions.

Volunteer Opportunity! Holmes Junior High's After School Homework Club needs high school students to tutor junior high kids from 3:30-5:00 pm Monday - Thursday. Come to the Career Center for more information.
Hey students at DHS! CSF is the largest club and a service club. Bring your completed pink sheet, $5 for registration, last semester's report card and also your hour sheets if returning, to P-13 at lunch. You can get applications from P-13 at lunch. Applications are available from P-13, the library or the brochure rack in the Front Office. Hope to see you soon!
Interested in joining the Environmental Club? Come to our next meeting this Friday in Room S-10 at lunch where we'll discuss projects on helping out the environment.
