HAPPY HOMECOMING!

THIS DAY IN HISTORY:   1635 - Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island, was banished from Massachusetts because he had spoken out against punishments for religious offenses and giving away land that belonged to the Indians. Williams had founded Providence, Rhode Island as a place for people to seek religious freedom.

TODAY:  Attention ALL STUDENTS coming to the football game tonight: students that present a DHS/DaVinci ASB card get in free.  Please enter with ASB card through the Ambulance gate, which is the nearest gate to Oak Street.  ASB cards will not be accepted at the main entrance.  Remember: NO BACKPACKS, OUTSIDE FOOD/DRINK and NO RE-ENTRY.

Attention Students, additionally there are NO skateboards allowed in the football stadium.  Please do not bring them!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Reminder to all Link Crew leaders: There is a meeting on October 13 at lunch, 12:00 sharp! Bring your lunch.

Students who paid for ASB and did not get "ASB" printed on their card can go to the Library to have the correct card printed.

Event and information posting is to be posted on blue walls only, not blue doors, not blue garbage cans, not the blue drink machine kiosk or in the restrooms.

Calling all Link Crew leaders! Come to our October 13 Leader meeting in L-23 at lunch.  Starts at 12:00 sharp.  Bring your lunch and we will discuss up and coming events.

Senior Portrait Make-Up Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015 here at DSHS.  Prestige Studios will be mailing out pre-assigned appointment cards to seniors which must be confirmed by the senior either online at www.tinyurl.com/confirmat<http://www.tinyurl.com/confirmat> or call Prestige at 916-844-1221.  If you don't receive an appointment card, please call Prestige Studios as soon as possible at the number given.

Fall Dance tickets will be sold at the webstore online today until 3:00 pm only.  Student must have a dance contract on file already.  No tickets will be sold at the door! $20 or $15 with ASB card.

All Students - Interested in leaving the legacy of the ALL Student Center?  We are looking for your input and participation during the design and construction phases of this project.  Your commitment would be 4 - 6 lunch meetings with the committee.  FREE LUNCH is provided for committing to serving on this committee. PSAT is Wednesday, 10/14!! The cost is $24.00. There are NO Refunds and no transfers. Sales end 10/9.  If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor immediately.

  *   In-person sign-ups will be held during lunch only, October 5 - 9 at the Finance Office

CLUBS/EVENTS: CABIN LEADERS are needed for Korematsu Elementary's Walker Creek trip that takes place November 30 - December 4.  The deadline to apply is October 28.  Please come to the Career Center for an application.

The first NHS meeting will be held on Monday, October 12th!  It will be held in S-12 and sophomores who haven't registered can still sign up at the first meeting! See you there!

Attention Teachers and Students! You're all welcome to join the Russian Club.  You don't have to be Russian to join us in P-24 every Thursday at lunchtime.  See you there!

Are you looking for a summer adventure?  Do you enjoy learning about Korean culture and eating Korean food?  If so, come join us in the Davis Cultural Exchange Club, Tuesdays at lunch in Mr. Williams' room, P-14.  We will have snacks!
