Attention Male Athletes...Looking for something fun to do this summer?  Try Rugby 7's.  It's rugby but with only 7 players a side with each half lasting only 7 minutes.  It's a fun and fast paced game for kids with speed, strength and endurance.  No experience is necessary.  All 9th - 12th grade boys from all sports are welcomed.  Come to an introductory meeting on Thursday, May 7th in the home bleachers of the DHS stadium from 6:30-7:00 pm.  Contact Mike Goodison for more information at 530-902-1312.

Attention Senior Blue Devil Athletes - If you have committed to participating at the next level on an athletic team, please join us in celebrating your accomplishments during the signing day ceremony on May 21st at 12:15pm in the quad. Please fill out a questionnaire that can be found in the athletic office and turn in by May 1st.   All students welcome to come out and support.

Basketball players in grades 4th-8th are invited to the annual DHS Blue Devil Basketball Camp June 15-18. DHS Football Backers are hosting The Gridiron Gala, the annual football fundraiser dinner and silent auction on Saturday, May 9th, 5:30 pm at the Vets Memorial Center. For tickets and more information, go to the website at davishighfootball.org

Annual Sports Physical Clinic at Sutter Family Practice - Saturday, June 6th - 8:30-11:30am at 2030 Sutter Place. $20 donation benefits DHS Athletics. Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to get their sports physicals done in preparation for the 2015-16 school year. TODAY: : College Night for Juniors and their parents is tonight, Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 pm starting in the IPAB.  At College Night, you will learn about public and private colleges, community colleges, scholarships, financial aid, college entrance testing and more during breakout sessions.  Join us on April 30th to find out more about the process of applying to college!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: Seniors, if you missed the assembly last week please stop and see Mrs. Perez in the Administration building to pick up the information you missed.  If you attended the assembly and have not yet turned in your request for your 4 free Graduation tickets, please do so today.

Attention Blue Devils with cool rides! The annual Devil Day Car Show is coming on May 20th in the quad hosted by the DHS Car Club!  Students and non-students may apply with the winners receiving O'Reilly's gift cards!   Enter your car today!  Applications are due May 1st!

Seniors interested in singing the Senior Song at Graduation (I've Had the Time of My Life) may pick up the music from Mrs. Gardias in PA-8.  Auditions will be held on Friday, May 8th at lunch.  Please see Mrs. Garcias with any questions.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES:  Seniors: have you received any scholarships or awards not administered by the Career Center, such as scholarships from colleges or outside organizations?  If so, come to the Career Center and sign the "Outside Award" list.  These awards will be announced at Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 pm in the IPAB.

Be prepared for your math and science AP tests!  Come to S-9 Monday through Thursday at lunchtime for help reviewing math and science with peer tutors from MAST Club.  There will be an AP chemistry review on Wednesday, April 29th and AP biology on Thursday, April 30 in S-9 at lunch.

SENIORS:  Did you apply for a local scholarship?  Names of scholarship recipients are starting to arrive, so come to the Career Center to see if your name is on the list of recipients!  The list is posted in the Career Center's window.

Hey, Science Scholars, this is the week you can shine.  Take National Science League tests, to win medals and certificates of achievement that you can brag about on your college applications.  Thursday at lunch take the Physics test in S-11 or S-12.   On Friday will be a make-up day in S-8 at lunch, when you can take any of the tests that you missed.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Hey Juniors and Seniors!  Want to play Powderpuff this year?  Permission slips will be available in C-4.  Turn them in by May 6th.  There will be an informational meeting on in C-4 on May 6th and May 8th.

Attention to everyone going to Prom!  If you want to save money and make your own corsage and boutonnière, sign up in O-1A before this Thursday.  The workshop is on Thursday from 1:00-3:30.  The cost will be $10.00 for a corsage and boutonnière.  Hope to see you there!

The GSA is hosting a FREE movie night this Friday, May 1st at 7:00 p m in the band room, PA-3.  We are showing the movie 'RENT' and will have free snacks!

What do you call an artist who sculpts with bicycles? CYCLEANGELO! Bike To School Day is Wednesday, May 6!  So hop on your bike and pedal on over to get some sweet prizes.  More information to follow!

The Davis Homeless Shelter needs non-perishable foods, soaps, shampoos and gently used coats.  There is a donation bin inside the front office.  Anything helps!
