TODAY:    Freedom From Hunger is holding a shoe drive on October 29th from 8:00-8:45 on Wednesday in L-21.  Bring in
gently-used shoes and get a Noah's Bagel!  Also, receive CSF, NHS and Key Club volunteer minutes for each pair of shoes
you bring!

Calling all Clubs!  Today is the last day to turn in clubs fair applications!  Get them into C-4 to participate.  The Clubs Fair
will be held in the quad at lunch on Tuesday, November 4th.

Hey Key Clubbers!  We'll have a meeting this Wednesday, October 29th at lunch in Room S-12.  Stop by for food, to learn
about new projects and to sign up for the 'Key to College' event!  See you all there!

If you are a Latino or Latina at DHS or you want to learn more about Latinos, come to LUCE in T-6 every Wednesday
during lunch.  Everyone is welcome!  Come prepared to have a good time and also get maximum candies!
There will be a Mu Alpha Theta meeting today, Wednesday, October 29th during lunch in Mr. Ronning's room, N-5.  See

Feminism Club meets today in O-1.  We'll discuss this year's projects.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a Dodgeball!  Come play Dodgeball.  Pick up your application today in C-4 and
don't forget to fill out your permission slip!  Sign-ups and permissions are due Wednesday and there is a MANDATORY
captains' meeting on Friday.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS: CAHSEE make-ups for 11th /12th graders is Tuesday, 11/4 for ELA, and Wednesday, 11/5 for
Math. Students who have received a CAHSEE make-up notice, please return the bottom portion to the Testing
Coordinator. If you have a passing score from another school, please bring that proof in to update our records.

Are you interested in learning about the United States Army?  If so, come to the Career Center at lunch on Friday,
October 31st to meet with an Army representative.

Are you interested in attending Sac City College?  If so, Sac City is hosting a Preview Night on Thursday, October 30th
from 5:00 - 7:30.  Come to the event to learn about degree and certificate programs, financial aid, getting into
community college and take a tour of the Sacramento campus.  Come to the Career Center for more information

MISCELLANEOUS:  It's LGBT History Month!  Did you know that legal inequalities can cost $300,000. over a lifetime
experienced by same-sex couples.

SENIORS: The first deadline for senior ads in the yearbook is HERE - Turn in order forms to P-21 (Achimore) by October
31st, Halloween, to ensure your senior ad is in the yearbook.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Do you speak Spanish and like to teach others?  If so, come join the Spanish Tutoring Club at lunch on
Monday, November 3rd in S-6.  We will be discussing tutoring opportunities.

Hello all MUN members.  We will hold a general meeting this Thursday at lunch.  If you are planning on going to the
Berkeley Delegate Workshop, you must attend the meeting!

The Gay-Straight Alliance will meet this Friday at lunch in L-28.

Hey DHS!  Join the Blue Devil Unicycle Club and come to N-10 every Tuesday at lunch to learn to unicycle and be in
parades!  We have great leadership and a great community!  Please join us!

Confused in your math or science classes?  Come in for tutoring by MAST Club in S-0 at lunch, Mondays through
Thursdays.

Mommy has been telling you are special since you were born.  Show off that special talent at DHS Factor.  Pick up an
application in C-4 and turn it in by October 31st.

Are you an artist?  Do you like to create designs?  The DHS Car Club needs a 2014-2015 Car Club t-shirt design!  The
design could be of a cool car or something you think would look good on our t-shirt.  The winner gets a $20 Jamba Juice
gift card and a DHS Car Club t-shirt.  Electronic or hand-drawn submissions due on Halloween, Oct 31st to Mr. Thayer,

Where can you meet Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Cinderella and her Prince and Jack with his beanstalk?  At DHS
Drama's fall musical, 'Into the Woods' performed on November 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th and 15th at 7:00 in the IPAB!  There
will be another performance on November 9th at 2:00 pm.  Be careful what you wish for!

DHS Parents, enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting, epicurean delights, silent auction, art, and music benefitting the Davis
High School's Advanced Treble Choir on Sunday, November 2nd 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Pence Gallery in
downtown Davis.   There will be with wine tasting from a number of local wineries and appetizer pairings provided by
the ATC parent group.  An intimate performance by the choir featuring a number of songs will follow.  Silent auction bids
can be made throughout the event.  The gallery will display unique abstract paintings titled 'The Sign of Rhythm' by
Sacramento artist, Mark Emerson.  Proceeds will benefit the Advanced Treble Choir at Davis High School as they prepare
