TODAY:  The DHS Climate Committee will meet this Friday at lunch in Café Diablo located next to C-3.  Please come to
discuss ways to make our school a more welcoming place for everyone.

There is a Mu Alpha Theta meeting today, Friday, 10/3 in Mr. Ronning's Room, N-5.  The meeting will be short.  If you
are planning on doing Mathletes, it is MANDATORY that you come pick up the forms and turn them into Mr. Ronning
Wednesday, October 8.

Cancer Awareness Fact of the Week: 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.  The Cancer
Awareness Club is having a meeting today, Friday at lunch in Room N-12.  All are welcome.
Hello all CSF members!  Our first general meeting is today, Friday, October 3.  We will have a CSF introduction and
discuss upcoming projects.  Don't miss the first meeting!

Want to compete against other schools for glory and knowledge?  Then join Academic Decathlon!  All grades and GPAs
are needed; we will be having a meeting Friday at lunch in L-20.  Don't miss it!

ACADEMICS/CAREERS:  PSAT online registration will open to 10th graders beginning Monday, October 6th.  Online sales
will end for 10th and 11th graders on Wednesday, October 15 - NO exceptions.  Also, in-person sales will be held next
week, October 6th - 10th during lunch only, in the Finance Office (not the window.)  Bring student ID! $24.00, NO
refunds.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  The Philosophy Club is meeting on Monday, October 6th, in Room P-21.  The topic for this discussion is
politics.  Anybody interested in sharing their opinion is welcome to come.  While there will be a planned discussion,
anyone is welcome to lead the discussion with their own opinions.  See you there!

Want to be in a club that's open to everyone?  Join BSU: Black Student Union.  It's the club you've been looking for.
Meetings are every other Monday (October 6th and October 20th) in O-1.  Everyone is welcome.

The first NHS general meeting will be on Monday, October 6th.  It will be in Room S-12 during lunch.

It's LGBT History Month!  Did you know that the ancient Greeks and Celts considered homosexual men more masculine?

Volunteer Opportunity! :  The International House of Davis needs volunteers for their International Festival on October
5.  Volunteers will set-up and take-down, manage trash stations, provide information to attendees, etc.   Come to the
Career Center for more information.
Dress up! Dress down!  MORP is coming to town!  Buy tickets in advance next week at the Finance Office during lunch
for $5 with ASB or $7 without.  You can also pay at the door for $10.  Make sure you have a dance contract on file or
turn one in!
Where can you meet Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Cinderella and her Prince and Jack with his beanstalk?  At DHS
Drama's fall musical, 'Into the Woods' performed on November 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th and 15th at 7:00 in the IPAB!  There
will be another performance on November 9th at 2:00 pm.  Be careful what you wish for!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:  The Yolo County Animal Shelter is looking for high school students to foster kittens and
volunteer for offsite adoption events.  Internship opportunities are also available for students interested in a future
career working with animals.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
