There will be a Girl's Lacrosse informational meeting at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12th in Room N-8 at the High
School.  All of those interested in trying out for Varsity or NV lacrosse should attend.  If you have questions, please

Play Rugby!   No one is too big or too small to play, and no experience is necessary.  Come to an introductory meeting
for 9th-12th grade players and parents on Wednesday, November 12 from 6:00 p m to 7:00 pm in the DHS Library.  We
are forming both boys and girls teams.  Contact Head Coach Andy Malpass at andy at aj-construction.com for questions.

Attention DHS Fall Athletes!  If you plan to try-out for a Winter sport, stop by the Athletics Office to get a copy of your
clearance card to take to your Winter coach.

Attention all WINTER sport athletes who have planned in their schedule to earn ILS credit during their Winter sport:
There will be a mandatory information meeting on Wednesday, November 19, 2:30pm in the small gym, once team
rosters are set, next week.  At this meeting, you will receive the information and coursework for the ILS course.  In order
to be officially enrolled in Winter ILS, you must attend this meeting and receive the information.  Any questions, email
Ms. Crawford or Mr. Ariola.  Good luck in tryouts this week.
TODAY: Hey Key Clubbers!  Instead of our general meeting this week, we will be taking our yearbook photo!  Be sure to
wear yellow or black and meet in front of the IPAB at the beginning of lunch on Wednesday, November 12th!  Don't miss
out or else you won't be in our yearbook photo!

Karl of Herff Jones will be here in the quad at lunch today for cap, gown, class ring and announcement orders and to
answer questions.

Hello DHS unicyclers!  What is awesome about Wednesdays?  Unicycling!  At N-10 at lunch every Wednesday, you will
have a blast riding around on one wheel.  Join us!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Seniors: DHS has a few options for how to conduct the graduation ceremony with
respect to the gowns worn by graduating seniors.  We would like your input as to the best option.  Please go to your
School Loop email or the DHS website to access the link to the survey.  All seniors and parents are encouraged to
participate.

Teachers, please excuse all seniors on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:45 am to go to the North Gym to take the
senior panoramic photo for the yearbook.  Please contact Mr. Achimore with any questions.

Items for Bulletin Submission- Please submit items for inclusion in the next day's bulletin NO LATER THAN 11:00 am.
Items will run for 3 days only, must include a legible sponsoring teacher's signature, and if the item is for an event, it
must include: WHAT, WHERE and WHEN.  Items may be shortened to keep the bulletin brief and to the point.  Thank you
for your cooperation!

Event and information posting is to be posted on blue walls only with blue tape.  When the events are over, please

ACADEMICS/CAREERS:  Do you need help with your Spanish homework?  If so, the Spanish Tutoring Club is holding
lunchtime homework help in S-6 every Tuesday and Thursday starting November 13th.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Don't stop your homeroom class from getting Chipotle!  Bring in canned food to help your class win a
Chipotle lunch.  First pick up date is Friday, November 14th!

Attention Seniors! Interested in going on a senior trip?  Sign up for the Senior Trip Club in L-20 anytime between
November 12th and 21st.  There will be an informational meeting on November 14th in L-20!

MISCELLANEOUS:  On Tuesday, November 18th, Dr. Amy Chen, a pediatrician at Davis Kaiser, will give us some "Tips on
how to stay healthy this winter!"  Dr. Chen will also tell us about her career.  She was formerly a middle school science
and math teacher before returning to school to obtain her medical degree at the University of Vermont.  This talk will be
held in S-5 at lunchtime.

Job Opportunity: The City of Davis is hiring JUNIOR BASKETBALL COACHES AND OFFICIALS.  Pay ranges from $9.00 to
$11.05 per hour.  Students will work between 3-10 hours per week.  Coaches and officials will teach basic basketball
fundamentals and skills for 3rd through 6th grade boys and girls basketball teams.  Come to the Career Center for more
information.

DO YOU VOLUNTEER? Girls, ages 14 to 17, with a strong volunteer project should apply for the Violet Richardson Award,
a $1,000 grant from Soroptimist International of Davis.  Priority is given to applicants whose work focuses on one project
that wasn't undertaken to earn a different award.  Download an application at http://www.sidavis.org/awards and
include photos, news clippings and other supporting documents.  Send submissions (digital only) and questions to
Wendy Weitzel at wendyedit at gmail.com. Deadline is Dec. 1.

Do you like high fives? LEAD is hosting High Five Day on November 14th!  Walk around campus spreading friendliness by
giving gentle high fives and you might just be rewarded.

Where can you meet Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Cinderella and her Prince and Jack with his beanstalk?  At DHS
Drama's fall musical, 'Into the Woods' performed on November 13th, 14th and 15th at 7:00 in the IPAB!  Be careful
what you wish for!
