THIS DAY IN HISTORY:  1948 - The "Pumpkin Papers" came to public light. The House Un-American Activities Committee
announced that former Communist spy Whittaker Chambers had produced microfilm of secret documents hidden inside
a pumpkin on his Maryland farm.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Seniors: DHS has a few options for how to conduct the graduation ceremony with
respect to the gowns worn by graduating seniors.  We would like your input as to the best option.  Please go to your
School Loop email or the DHS website to access the link to the survey.  All seniors and parents are encouraged to
participate.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS:  Seniors! Did you miss last night's Financial Aid Workshop?  If so, come to the Career Center to
pick up financial aid materials that were handed out at the event.

Need help in math or science?  Come to S-9 at lunch Monday through Thursday for tutoring by Math and Science Tutors
Club!

Emerson Jr. High needs high school students to tutor Emerson students in English and math from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Monday-Thursday in the Emerson Library.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

CLUBS/EVENTS:   The Cancer Awareness Club is hosting a toy drive for the UCD Children's Hospital.  Come to N-12 and
donate a new toy!

Winter Ball is this Saturday!  Buy your tickets for $25 with ASB or $30 without, this week at lunch in the Finance Office.
You can also buy tickets at the DHS Web store.  You must have a current dance contract on file.  See you at the Winter
Ball on December 6th!

Interested in French food, language, culture, movies or tutoring?  Come join us in French Club every Tuesday at lunch in
Room O-4, Mr. Curley's room.

The Spanish Tutoring Club is meeting on Monday, December 8th at lunch in O-6.  We will be making posters about
lunchtime tutoring.  All are welcome!
