Celebrate Senior Night for DHS Boys Lacrosse on April 25th at the DHS Stadium as the Blue Devils play
their last home game of the season. Varsity starts at 7:30, JV at 5:30. Come and support LAX and have a
great time!
Interested in playing Davis High Blue Devil Football this Fall? Parents and players should attend the
mandatory pre-season meeting on Tuesday, April 22 at 6pm in the DHS library. Meet the coaches and

TODAY: Get ready for the happiest week of your school year! Week of Kindness is this week, through
Friday, April 18th. We have great activities on the quad every day! Participate in the LEAD activity on
Tuesday and make sure to stop by the Balloon Release on Wednesday. Make a "free hugs" t-shirt on
Thursday and don't miss the Friendship Day activity on Friday!
Attention Chinese Club! Come and vote on Tuesday at lunch for next year's vice president. Also, you'll
learn more information about other position for next year's election.
Come to the French Club on Tuesday for a culturally enlightening atmosphere. We meet in N-2 at
lunchtime!
Would you like to learn the tricks to doing well on the SAT or ACT exams? If so, come to the Career
Center at lunch on Tuesday, April 15 where a Princeton Review representative will teach you strategies
to ensure you are completely prepared for the test. See you in the Career Center Tuesday at lunchtime!
SENIORS: There are still some local scholarships available for DHS students. If you participated in music,
girls scouts, soccer, or are of East Indian descent, you might qualify for one or more of these
scholarships! Come to the Career Center to pick up an application.
Senior Ball is almost here! Ticket prices start at $60. with ASB and $70 without ASB. Prices will increase
weekly! Tickets on sale at lunchtime only at the Finance Office window now until April 25th. If you have
financial needs regarding Senior Ball tickets, please talk to your counselor.
Seniors! Throughout the years, we've all had some great memories: Please share them! Bring copies of
your favorite photographs with your friends to be featured at Prom. Boxes to drop photos off will be in
C-4 and the Front Office.
ACADEMICS/COLLEGE INFO: It has come to our attention that we have inadvertently scheduled the DHS
College Night of April 15, 2014 on the second day of the Jewish Passover holiday. It is very important
that all interested students at DHS have the opportunity to attend College Night so as to make informed
decisions regarding their future post-graduation from high school. Accordingly, we have rescheduled
this important event to June 5 (Thursday) at 7 pm. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this
may cause and look forward to a large turnout of DHS students at College Night. Thank you so much for
your time and attention.
Are you interested in a career in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice? If so, Woodland Community
College is offering a Law Enforcement Summer Academy for students who are at least 16 years old.
Students will participate in physical agility training, learn about Criminal Law and Evidence, and earn 9
college units. Come to the Career Center for an application.
If you are interested in a career in mental health or psychology, come to the Career Center on
Wednesday, April 16th at lunch to hear Professor Cerniak's presentation on careers in the field of
mental health and clinical psychology. See you in the Career Center at lunch Wednesday!
CLUBS/EVENTS: The Davis High School Advanced Treble Choir and Madrigals will perform on
Wednesday, April 16th at 7:00 pm at the Brunelle Performance Hall and will share the pieces they
recently performed at Lincoln Center in New York with world renowned composers, Steven Schwartz
and Eric Whitacre. This concert is free of charge in appreciation of your ongoing support of ATC and the
Madrigals!
Come out and support the students as they take on the teachers at the Students vs. Staff Basketball
Game. The game will be held on April 17th in the old gym at 7:00 pm.
