Did you know that DHS has a car club? Car club is for people who love all things car related. The first car club meeting will be today, September 12th at lunch in the auto shop classroom O-3. We will meet to plan for the homecoming parade and begin thinking about cool field trips and the DHS Devil Day Car Show. See ya there!

Come to the Environmental Club's 1st meeting of the year, tomorrow, September 13th at lunch in room S-10. We will be talking about building a Bottle Brick Bench and working with Cool Davis this year. Food will be provided.
What a fun and exciting High school theater experience? Come audition for Acme Theater Company's production of Dracula and K of D. Auditions are open to all high school students beginning Monday, September 16th. To learn more information and sign up for an audition slot go to acmetheater.net. Blood not required.
ONGOING/UPCOMING:
JUNIORS: Are you are interested in a career in law enforcement? If so, you are invited to apply to the FBI's Fall 2013 Teen Academy. This one day Academy is held at the Sacramento FBI field office on November 22, from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fun and educational FBI related presentations and experiences will take place during the event. Deadline to apply is October 25. Come to the Career Center for an application.
It's not too late to buy an ASB card for $65: You can support ASB, receive free admission to regular season home athletic events and get discounts on dance tickets. You'll also receive a free Blue Crew Shirt! You can also purchase a 2014 Yearbook for $70 and subscribe to the HUB for $30. Come to the Finance Office during lunch to make your payments.
Are you interested in being a Walker Creek CABIN LEADER? If so, cabin leaders are needed for Patwin and Pioneer Elementary schools. Please come to the Career Center for an application.
Tired of the hot summer weather? Dreaming of flying down the cool snowy mountainside? Then find out more about the DHS Snowboard Team. An informational meeting will be held on MONDAY SEPTEMBER 16 at 7pm in the Davis High School library. The team is open to all students in the 9th through 12th grades. Meet the coaches, find out about the Team, get the information that you need to join this year! Stop dreaming - start doing - come join the DHS Snowboard Team.
UC Davis is hosting its annual Pre-Medical and Pre-Health Professions National Conference on October 12-13 at the UC Davis campus. The conference will help students learn about medical schools, public health programs, and meet admissions representatives and medical professionals. Come to the Career Center for more information.
CSF Registration will be beginning next week, September 16 through September 27. Please remember to bring $5, last semester's grades and a complete pink form. Returning members should also turn in their green hour sheets.
Grad Night 2014 Tickets will be available for sale at Back to School Night on Sept. 18th. Ticket representatives will be in the Quad, so please look for us there and get your tickets early. The price is $75 now through the end of the year, and will be $90 on January 1st.
School pictures are in, please come to the Career Center during your lunch to pick up your packets. Staff should see Kimberly Perez!
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Davis Media Access is offering a four-month, non-paid internship where students can gain hands-on experience and exposure to many aspects of community television production. Interns must be at least 16 years old and able to work 3-6 hours per week. The deadline to apply is tomorrow, September 13. Come to the Career Center for more information.
