TODAY:
The Women in Science, Technology and Math Club is hosting its first guest speaker today at lunch in N-7 (Mrs. Butler's room). The speaker is a biologist at UCD and will be taking about her career in science. Everyone is welcome (even if you are not in the club). There will be food!  Please arrive at the beginning of lunch so that the speaker can get started on time.

NEW/ONGOING/UPCOMING:

There will be a MSA meeting tomorrow in P-10. Come hang out with fellow Muslin students and plan fun events.

Are you interested in attending Sac City College?  If so, Sac City is hosting a Preview Night is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30 from 5:00 - 7:30.  Come to the event to learn about degree programs, financial aid, getting into community college and take a tour of the Sacramento campus.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
The DHS Climate Committee will meet this Friday at lunch in N-2. Please join us to discuss ways to make DHS a more welcoming school for everyone.
The City of Davis' final college tour is CSU San Francisco this Saturday, November 2.  The cost is $67 and includes transportation, college tour, and lunch.  Go online to www.davisteenscene.org<http://www.davisteenscene.org> or come to the Career Center in for more information.
Tickets for the 2014 Davis Grad Night Celebration are now available for purchase online through the Davis Grad Night website at http://groups.dcn.org/davisgradnight/tickets. Don't forget to purchase a ticket for your graduating senior -- prices are $75.00 through December 31, 2013 -- then the price goes up to $90.00.  Remember, scholarship tickets are also available through school counselors.

Attention all students! Need some Winter Blue Devil Gear?? Blue Devil Sweats and Sweatshirts are on sale NOW. Hooded Sweatshirts are available in Royal Blue, Grey, and Navy Blue and the cost is $20.  Sweatpants are available in Royal Blue only, and the cost is $15.  Pay at the Finance Office all week during lunch and bring your receipt to PE.



The DHS car club is hosting a competition to create this year's car club t-shirt. If any of you artists want to create an image to be put on the car club t-shirt, submit your drawing to Mr. Thayer in room O-3. The winner will get a $20 Target gift card and a free t-shirt with their design on it. The deadline for submissions is Monday, November 4th, so get to it!



French Fun Fact of the Week: Did you know that the most visited attraction in Paris isn't the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, but rather Disneyland Paris at 13 million sightseers? It is the only Disneyland in Europe. Did you also know that there's French Club on Tuesdays at lunch? Come for food and activities while celebrating French culture!



Seniors! It's that time of year again! Rent-a-Senior is just around the corner. Applications are now available in C-4 and are due by November 15th!



Have a cool and unique talent? Pick up an application to perform in the DHS Factor Talent Show. Applications are available in C-4 today and are due by November 1st (Friday)!



Clubs: Yearbook photo forms are due by Nov. 1, Friday! Pick-up a form in P-21 or your club will not have a photo in this year's book!



Play Rugby! Boys' Rugby is back at Davis High School for its second season. No one is too big or too small to play, and no experience is necessary. Come hear more at an introductory meeting for parents and 9th-12th grade players on Thursday, November 7th from 7:00 p m to 8:00 pm in the DHS Library.
