ATHLETICS: Davis High summer Volleyball camp:  June 17-20th @ Davis High South Gym
Youth camp:  K-8th grade, 8-10am;  Team camp:  9-12th grade, 11-2pm  This camp is open to both boys and girls and is a great way to meet the Davis High coaches and other guest coaches.  All girls and boys planning on trying out for DHS volleyball next year should sign up for the team camp.  Other youth interested in learning the basic fundamental skills of volleyball, sign up for the youth camp.  There are 2 ways to register: ONLINE through the Davis High website  www.davisseniorhigh.net<http://www.davisseniorhigh.net/>  -Click on "Pay Online" and select your camp choice OR Log onto the Davis High Volleyball website http://groups.dcn.org/dhsvolleyball -Download and print the Registration form.


LUNCH CHOICES:   Veggie or Pepperoni Pizza, Whole Wheat Pasta Salad or Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

TODAY:  Important!  The west side of the DHS MPR Staff parking lot will closed beginning Monday, June 3 for demolition staging with a full close-down of the lot on June 7.  Please use other Staff parking areas.

NEW:  The DHS Car Club's 2012-13 Car Show was a huge success, thanks to all those who entered cars, helped organize, donated equipment, voted, judged, and just showed up on the quad! The peoples' choice winners were the Davis Police Department, Zack Schaap, Casey Schnathorst and Gloria Laguna. Gloria was also the winner of the car show t-shirt design contest. The winners of the judged competition were Ramona Lowry, Rudy Buhlman, Jeremy Snow and PJ Contini. All winners receive a free car show t-shirt, and recipients of the best overall category will receive a free oil change or car care gift basket. To claim your prize, come by the DHS auto shop during school hours.  Start getting your ride ready for the next Devil Day Car Show coming in May 2014!"

ONGOING/UPCOMING:  If you ordered Senior Ball pictures and have not picked them up, they are at the Front Desk!

Attention thespians: do you have summer plans?  Acme Theatre Company is producing Shakespeare's famous 'Romeo and Juliet.'  Auditions for high school students are June 6th and 7th @ DHS.  For more information, please contact Stage Manager, Deanna Gee by emailing stagemanager at acmetheatre.net<mailto:stagemanager at acmetheatre.net> for monologue and audition packets and more information about the show.

On Friday, June 7, the remaining reserved-seat tickets for graduation will be sold at the stadium box office for $8.  Standing room only entry will also be sold.  The box office will be open at 5:00 pm and the stadium will open at 6:00.

Students wishing to purchase yearbooks can come to the Finance Office at lunch.  Caps, gowns, tassels, etc. are available for pick-up in the Finance Office during lunch and after school.

Summer Sizzler Unitrans passes are on sale in the Finance Office for $15.  The pass is valid from June 1 through August 15 for unlimited rides on any Yolobus route!

Seniors!  Come to Grad Night 2013!  The tickets cover food, drinks and entertainment.  Scholarships are available through school counselors.  This event is an all-night party for graduating DJUSD Seniors! SENIORS: Did you miss Senior Awards Night?  If your name is on the list outside the main office or Career Center, you may have a certificate waiting for you!  Come to the Career Center to pick up your certificate and a Senior Awards Night program!

Sophomores and juniors, do you love to dance?  Then start practicing over the summer for the Jazz Choir's  4th annual dance competition on Oct. 5th!  You can compete solo or with a friend to win cash prizes.  Any style of dance is fine.   More information will be available when school begins in August.

Seniors:  Don't forget to request your FINAL TRANSCRIPT to be sent to the college you will be attending.  Bring in a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Transcript Counter and follow the posted instructions.  If your common application college is requesting submission of a final report, you will need to make a request at the transcript counter.  Stamped addressed envelope not needed.  Seniors, don't forget to fill out a permanent address card if you haven't already.  Turn in completed cards to the Front Desk or Counseling Office.
