TODAY is the Career Center's Annual Summer Activities and Scholarship Fair! Need a job or need extra money for college, you won't want to miss it. The fair features job applications, scholarship applications, and information about volunteering and summer activities. The Fair will be outside the Career Center TODAY AT LUNCH. See you there!
NEW: SENIORS: If you're planning to attend UCD, have a minimum GPA of 3.5, and you worked at a job during high school, you may qualify for the $12,867 Beeghly-Merritt Scholarship! Applications are now available in the Career Center. The deadline to apply is April 9!

It's not too late to join the Davis Lady Rugby Team! Practice on Mondays through Thursdays, 4:00 - 6:00 at the field behind the public library and North Davis Elementary.
ONGOING/UPCOMING EVENTS: Our second blood drive of the year will take place, Friday, 3/15. Giving blood takes approximately one hour from start to finish and is safe and easy. To donate blood, you must be at least 16, weight at least 110 and be free from cold or flu symptoms for at least 48 hours. If interested, please sign up on the quad at lunch or at the nurse's office one day this week before Friday. Walk-ins are accepted only if you are 18 or older. For more information, see Ms. Youtsey, the school nurse.
Attention, All DHS Loyals! This Friday is Lacrosse Break the Record Night. In preparation for the DHS-Jesuit Lacrosse game, we encourage you to all sign up to give blood on Friday, March 15 to "Get the Red Out!" Pick up blood drive forms from the school nurse's office.

Tickets for the Spring play, 'The Breedless Kitsch' are on sale online at dhsdrama.net. Student tickets are $8, adults are $16. There are performances on March 14th, 15th and 16th at 7:00 pm. Pre-sale tickets are also available during lunch in the finance office.
Students interested in pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine are invited to attend UC Davis' School of Veterinary Medicine "Future Day" on Sunday, April 28 from 8:30-3:00. Future Day is a free event for students and will focus on veterinary medicine and interactive labs. The event is free and includes a light breakfast. Come to the Career Center for more information.
It's time for The City of Davis' annual So-Cal Safari College Tour for high school students the week of April 4-7 to help teens make the important decision about where to apply. The tour covers five major universities - UC Santa Cruz, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Santa Barbara, University of Southern California and UCLA in Southern California. The tour cost is $490 and includes transportation, college tours, breakfast, dinner and hotels.
