On May 3, celebrate SENIOR Night for DHS Boys Lacrosse at the Ron and Mary Brown HS Stadium as the Blue Devils take on Granite Bay during the last home game of the season.  The Varsity game starts at 7:30 pm, JV starts at 5:30.  Come support the team and celebrate our graduating  Seniors!

LUNCH CHOICES:     Pork Carnitas with cheese and tortilla chips, or Roasted Turkey with gravy and mashed potatoes or Baked Catfish with potatoes.

TODAY:  Attention all MAST Tutors!  There is a mandatory meeting today to elect officers for next year.  Come decide on the future of the club!

Environmental Club members, we are having a meeting today Friday, April 26 to discuss upcoming events, our bottle brick bench and the WE VOTE Project.  If you can't make it, remember that on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 across from the Farmers Market and Crepeville, we are volunteering our help in making a community bottle brick bench!  Hope to see you at the meeting and on Sunday!

Attention Blue Devils! Interested in progressing in your career?  The DHS Healthcare Career Club has joined with the DHS Engineering and the Architecture Club to present the Disney Institute's approach to quality service and leadership excellence on Friday, April 26 in the Career Center at lunch.  Come and learn the values that made companies like Disney, Apple and Boeing the top in their industries.

Want to write something special?  Come to the Quad this Friday, April 26th during lunch to write a letter to yourself.  Check out this groovy activity!

Prom Ticket sold at lunchtime only!  Senior Ball Tickets are on sale this week for $75 with ASB and $85 without at the Finance Window.


NEW:  If you are a senior, and an active lifetime member of CSF, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Pick up an application from Mrs. O'Brien in P-13.  Deadline to submit application is Friday May 3.

ONGOING/UPCOMING:
The Dedication Ceremony for The Steve Larsen Bike Plaza will be held on Friday, May 3 at 12:00 noon.  The new bike plaza is located between the Stadium entry gates and the North Gym.  Steve Larsen was raised in Davis, graduated from DHS is considered to be the Davis' greatest ever all-around cyclist.  He has competed in World Championships in different categories of road, mountain bike, track, cycle-cross and triathlon.  Steve Larsen was also a professional triathlete and a national mountain bike champion. There will be artwork 'The Spirit Rider' will be dedicated in the plaza as well.  Please join us for this dedication ceremony on Friday, May 3 at lunch.  Refreshments will be served.

Also, on Friday, the day of the Steve Larson dedication ceremony, be sure to bike to school!   If you do, you will receive a ticket for free Noah's Bagels, Yoloberry Pink Berry and many other giveaways in the quad!

The Devil Day Car Show returns Wednesday, May 29, hosted by the DHS Car Club.  Cool cars and trucks will be on display all day in the quad with judging at lunch and a people's choice award you can vote on.  There are cool prizes for the winners including a car show t-shirt, free oil change or car care gift basket.  If you or someone you know wants to enter, the applications are in the main office or the Auto Shop Room, O-3.  Applications are due May 15.  Hope to see you there!

If you need a ride to Senior Ball, make sure to buy a bus ticket during lunch.  They'll cost $25 and you'll need to fill out a bus contract that can be found in C-4 or the Student Government Events Page.

Please nominate a teacher you think is most deserving of the honor of Rotarian Teacher of the Year for the 2012-13 School Year.  The criteria for consideration are listed below as is the nomination form available in the front office. Please return the form with an attached description of your nominee to Kate Prien, Site Secretary, no later than noon on Friday, May 10, 2013.

Seniors!  It's not too soon to think about Grad Night 2013!  The tickets cover food, drinks and entertainment.
Scholarships are available through school counselors.  This event is an all-night party for graduating DJUSD Seniors! Box 2143, Davis, CA 95617. If you wish it to be returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with a telephone number.

SENIORS:  There are still some local scholarships available for DHS students, including two that were just added to the Scholarship Bulletin!  Come to the Career Center THIS WEEK to see if you qualify for any of these scholarships and to pick up an application.

Summer School - Classes will be available for students who need to make up credits.  Pick up a summer school application in the Counseling Office.
