Seniors!  If you haven't submitted your request form for graduation tickets, do so as soon as possible.  Take your form to the Finance Office.

NEW:  The DHS Madrigals invite you to a car wash fundraiser this Saturday, April 13th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Davis Joint Unified School District parking lot at Fifth and B Streets.   Please come and visit Downtown Davis or the Farmer's Market for an enjoyable Saturday while these talented singers demonstrate their skill and precision with virtuoso performances featuring soap, sponges and hoses!

All students are invited to attend a Resume and Cover Letter Workshop in the Career Center at lunch on Friday, April 12.  UCD students will provide instructions on how to prepare resumes and cover letters, and answer career-related questions.  All students who attend will receive 20%-off coupons to Pinkberry yogurt!

Attention Math and Science Tutors:  This Friday, April 12th, there will be a meeting for prospective MHST officers in S-09 at lunch.  If you are interested in becoming an officer, be sure to attend.

This Friday, April 12 is the deadline to submit applications for many local scholarships!  Bring your completed applications to the Career Center this Friday by 4:00 pm!

CSFers, we have our next general meeting this upcoming Friday, in P-13 during lunch.  Be sure to come and meet your new officers for next year and sign up for some more CSF projects.  See you there!

The "Girls Who Code" Organization is offering a free 8-week Summer Immersion Program for sophomore and junior girls interested in computer science.  Students will learn how to build websites, program robots, develop mobile apps, tour Google, Twitter and Zynga and meet female computer engineers and entrepreneurs.  Come to the Career Center for an application!

Seniors: Are you interested in being one of the student speakers at your graduation ceremony?  Pick up a graduation speech application from Assistance Principal McHale in the office.  Speeches are due by April 25th.

The annual Tribute to Tony Fields is coming up!  Performances are Friday, April 19th and Saturday, April 20th at 7:00 in the IPAB.  Tickets sold at the door: $5 for students and $10 for general admission.

Kaiser in Sacramento is seeking applicants for its High School Summer Youth Employment Program.  This is a paid internship open to junior and senior students who have financial need and qualify as disadvantaged or underrepresented.  The program is designed to encourage students to earn a high school diploma and to consider a career in a health care-related field.  Come to the Career Center for an application.

ONGOING/UPCOMING EVENTS: Senior Ball Tickets are on sale this week for $55 with ASB and $65 without at the Finance Window at lunchtime only.  Prices go up next week.  Tickets will not be sold on Monday, April 15th.

The DHS Art Dept. would like to invite everyone to our annual ART EXHIBIT & SENIOR JURIED SHOW at the Davis Art Center.  The reception will be on Friday, April 12 from 6:00-7:30 pm.

Come see the top 12 bachelors at DHS dance and showcase their talents at Mr. Blue Devil on April 12th at 6:00 pm in the Brunelle Music Theatre.  Tickets are $10 with ASB and $12 without, sold at the door.

Interested in trying out for the Nationally Ranked DHS Cheerleading Team?  All candidates must attend our Mandatory Tryout Information Night on April 16th, 6pm in the DHS Library. The Davis High Girls Golf Team will have an informational meeting for girls entering 9th through 12th grade in the Fall of 2013. Parent and golfers, please attend to learn more about the Fall season and summer opportunities. The meeting is April 18th at 7:00 pm at the high school in room N-08. Summer School - Classes will be available for students who need to make up credits.  Pick up a summer school application in the Counseling Office.

-Please place recycle materials in proper containers which are the cardboard bins near the trash dumpster.  If you don't know where, ask somebody.  Davis Waste Removal will not dump containers with improper materials in them.
