SPORTS PHYSICAL PAPERWORK NIGHTS:  October 23 & 24: 6-8pm in the North Gym lobby. Turn in your completed paperwork and receive your athletic clearance card to present to your Winter coach on the first day of tryouts.
**If your student participated in a Fall sport, their concussion testing and paperwork clears them for the whole school year. If they choose to participate in a Winter sport, they need to come by the DHS Athletics Office or come to the paperwork night to pick up a copy of their clearance and emergency cards to give to the Winter coach.

-For Lunch today we have Pork Carnitas on whole wheat bun, Burritos from scratch on whole wheat tortilla or Fish Taco with special sauce and freshly made Pico de Gallo.

-Hey CSFers! We have another general meeting on Friday during lunch in Ms. O'Brien's room, P-18.  Be sure to come and learn about some community service events!  See you there!



-Please join us for a UNICEF meeting today, Friday October 12 in room P-20 at lunch.



-Today, PSAT sales are open to both 10th and 11th graders. Bring your $24 cash or check and photo IDs to the Large Conference Room at lunch only.

-The DHS Aeronautical Association will meet Tuesday, October 16th at lunch in Room O-3.  All students are welcome and snacks will be provided.



-Seniors!  Your Senior quotes for the yearbook are due Monday!  Please email your full name and quote to DHSseniorquotes at gmail.com<mailto:DHSseniorquotes at gmail.com> by Monday.  Stop in C-3 and see Mrs. Thomsen with questions.

-Monday, October 15 will kick off Spirit Week with a Homecoming Rally with the following changes to the schedule.

-Homecoming is almost here!  On Friday, October 19, the DHSH Library, Career Center and Administrative Office will close at 12:48 pm to allow staff to take part in the Homecoming Festivities.



-Listen up fellow witches and wizards of DHS!  Next week is Spirit Week!  Monday is House Spirit Day, Tuesday is 'Er' Day, Wednesday is Polyjuice Potion Day, Thursday is Throw-Back Day, Friday is Freakishly Blue Friday.  Dress up and show your Blue Devil Spirit!



-Saludos a Todos!  Do you want to learn about Latin culture?  Come to Latinos Unidos meeting at lunch every Monday

in Room 0-5.  Everyone is invited and welcome to come and have a great time.  Hasta Luego, amigos!



-If you are a sophomore interested in working on the Ravenclaw float, don't forget to pick up a permission slip in C-4!  Float Building starts Monday, October 15th!



-If you would like to come check out the cool clubs, sports and class floats, come to the Hogwarts Homecoming Day Parade!  This fun even takes place on Friday, October 19th (Homecoming Day) at 1:15 pm.  The route begins on 4th and C Streets and ends at Oak Street.  Hope to see you there!


-CABIN LEADER'S are needed for North Davis Elementary School's trip to Walker Creek on January 7-11. Cabin leaders must work well with children, and have an outgoing personality with an enthusiasm for the outdoors. Come to the Career Center for an application. Applications must be submitted to North Davis by October 30.



-Students: would you like to nominate a friend, club or group to be featured in the yearbook?  If you know someone with an interesting story, please email their name, grade and a 1-2 sentence description to Mrs. Thomsen in C-3.



-Attention all Seniors! Remind your parents that Yearbook Senior Ad due dates are around the corner!  1/8 page ads are due October 19, ¼ page ads and ½ page ads are due November 16th. -The DHS Band Boosters and volunteers from the DHS Band students are selling tickets for a raffle.  The Grand prize is the very popular Google Nexus Computer Tablet.  Other cool prizes being raffled are tickets to the Mondavi and gift certificates from Best Buy and Yolo Berry.  The drawing will be held during the Davis High School Jazz Band Performance at the Jazz and Beat Festival on 10/20/12 and ticket holders do not have to be present to win. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for 5 tickets.  There are $10 gift certificates for Lamppost Pizza on each raffle ticket as well!  Come and hear the DHS Jazz Band on 10/20/12 at University Commons Plaza at 5:00 pm and maybe win a great prize!
