-Attention Key Clubbers!  We will be having another meeting today, Wednesday, March 14 at lunch.  If you do not attend 2 Key Club meetings this semester, you will no longer belong to the club so come on out!!!



-REMINDER TO SENIORS: Graduation Ticket Forms are due today, March 14, 2012.  Please hand-deliver to Room C-4 or the Front Desk.  Extra forms are available in C-4 and the Front Office.

-Hey DHS, want to decorate your home with spring wreaths?   Come on down to the Farmers Market this Saturday morning, March 17 to see what Davis FFA students have made out of eggs and grape vines.      At this booth you'll get to see what kinds of thing Ag Classes at DHS offer as well as be able to get your very own wreath making kit. Its egg-tastic!



-Track!  Soccer! Softball! Volleyball!  What do these sports have in common?  They all have games this Friday, March 16!  Start the fun off at 3:30 as Track battles Woodland in "Battle for the Spade," Softball starts at 4:00, guys Volleyball at 5:00 and Girls Soccer at 7:00!  Come out for a fun-filled Friday!



-Hey Batter, Batter, Batter!  Swing your way out to Raley Field this Friday, March 16th and watch your DHS baseball team take on our rivals, Jesuit!  This is the baseball team's biggest game of the year!  Game starts at 6:30!



-Attention all Math and Science tutors!  We will be holding a meeting this Friday, March 16 in the Chem room at lunch regarding officer elections.



-CSF'ers!  There is a general CSF meeting this Friday, March 16 during lunch in Ms. O'Brien's room, P-13.  Information about upcoming officer elections will be announced.  See you then!

-THE ANNUAL SUMMER ACTIVITIES AND SCHOLARSHIP FAIR IS BEING RESCHEDULED DUE TO RAIN!!!  We can't have the fair in the rain, so we've decided to reschedule the event for Wednesday, March 21 outside the Career Center N-17.  See you then!



-Come see the DHS Drama Department's hilarious production of "Tartuffe" and experience the '60s!  Performances are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 15th, 16th and 17th at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $10 for students.



-If you are a Junior boy interested in government, you should apply for the Boys State all-expense paid summer camp, where you learn about the structure and workings of our government!  The event will be held on the CSU campus from June 16-23.  Those who apply must be strong academically, have leadership skills, and have an interest in community and government.  Come to the Career Center by March 16 to apply.



-Want to learn more about Friendship Day?  Applications to become facilitators will be available in the office beginning March 23rd.  We would love to get to know you so pick up an application!



-Sophomores and Juniors:  Would you like to do research at UC Davis this summer?  The UC Davis Young Scholars Program offers summer research opportunities in biology and the natural sciences for high-achieving high school students.  Applications are due March 31.  Come to the Career Center for more information and an application.



-The DHS Cheer Team will be holding tryouts on Saturday, April 28th.  All interested participants must attend the mandatory information night with their parent on April 19th at 7:00 pm and attend the tryout clinics on April 23rd, 25th and 27th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  To qualify for tryout for the Varsity squad, you must have a standing backhand spring. -Reminder: Friday March 23 will be the last day to enter course selections for 2012-2013 school year in Zangle!



-SENIORS: It's scholarship time!  If you would like free money for college, then you should apply for scholarships!  Twenty-one local scholarships for Davis Sr. High h School students are currently being offered by the Davis community.   Come to the Career Center in N-17 for more information about these and other available scholarships!



-HEY SENIORS!  It is time to make your reservation for Grad Night!    Grad Night is Friday, June 8 from 9:30 to 5:00 am at Emerson Junior High.   No one will be admitted after midnight! Tickets are $90 and the check should be made payable to "Davis Grad Night."  Fill out the quick form on the website www.davisgradnight.com<http://www.davisgradnight.com<http://www.davisgradnight.com%3chttp:/www.davisgradnight.com>>.   An email confirmation will be sent; no tickets will be issued.  Senior's name will be on a paid list at Grad Night check-in.  Seniors must be eligible to walk in their graduation ceremony  to attend and must present an ID to enter Grad Night.  You can mail or scan in your kindergarten photo for the Grad Night Kindergarten Wall.  You can also mail your reservation.
