-Attention Juniors! Interested in a career in law enforcement? You are invited to apply to the FBI's Teen Academy. The one-day Academy will be held at the offices of the Sacramento FBI on March 2 from 8:00 am-5:00 pm. The deadline to apply is Monday, February 6. Come to the Career Center for an application.
-There is a Club Fair today, February 1 in the quad! -Attention Clubs
-City of Davis' Recreation Division will be hosting its 6th Annual Recreation Job Skills Workshop on Wednesday, February 1 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Vet's Memorial Building. Come to the Career Center in N-17 for more info.
-Hey Speech and Debate Team Members: There will be a meeting today, Wednesday, February 1 after school in P-23. Also, Wednesday at lunch we will be taking the team yearbook picture so make sure to dress professionally. See you there!
-Today at lunch there is a Student Forum meeting in L-22. We will be talking about the $100,000. from Patch.com. Hope to see you there!

-Still deciding where to go after high school? Up for a fun trip with friends? The City of Davis is sponsoring the SoCal Safari for a tour of 6 Southern California Universities including UCLA and UCSB. The trip runs from April 9 - April 12 and the cost is $490.00. Looking for a summer job? The City of Davis is hosting its Job Skills Workshop Wednesday, February 1 from 4:00 to 6:00 in the Veteran's Memorial Center Theater. Learn skills for applying and interviewing for jobs! Come to the Career Center N-17 for more information!

-Valentine's Day is coming! Have you bought something for your Valentine? Now is the perfect time. Valentine's Day Rose Presale will be in the quad during lunch the whole week. We have a variety of arrangements to choose from. You won't get stiches if you buy your girlfriend some Hershey's kisses!
-Are you a Latino student wanting to earn a college degree? If so, plan to attend the Steps to College Fair to learn about college opportunities available to Latino students. The event will take place on Saturday, February 4 from 8:30-3:00 at the Sacramento offices of the Mexican Consulate General. Come to the Career Center in N-17 for more info.
-Reminder for students & parents: If you have business in the administrative office, you must come before 4:00. The office closes promptly at 4:00 pm.
-Interested in running for an ASB or class position this year? Applications are now available in C-4 and due Friday, February 3.
-Need help in your language class? Want someone to proofread your English essay? Come to N-15 at lunch any day of the week to receive help from experienced tutors.
-Next week is Spirit Week for the 'Break the Record Night' Black Light Dance after the Varsity Basketball game. Support our team by dressing up on Snow Day Monday, Twin Day Tuesday,- ER Day Wednesday, Wear Blue Thursday and White Out Friday! Remember to come and cheer our team at the game!
-Come to the 'Break the Record Night' Black Light Dance after the Varsity Basketball game on Friday, February 10 in the Old Gym. The Dance ends at midnight. Tickets will be sold January 30th through February 3rd during lunch for $2 with ASB and $4 without. After February 6th to February 10th, tickets will be $4 with an ASB and $6 without. If you attended the "I'm On a Boat" Homecoming Dance, then you can get in free!
-Hey Blue Devils! Are you interested playing in the DHS Intramural Dodge Ball League? If so, get a team of 6 to 9 people and pick up a registration form in C-4. The applications are due today, February 1. Also, all next week, there will be a free play dodge ball in the old gym for anyone who wants to play!
-Join the Davis Lady Rugby Team! Practices are Mondays 5:00-7:00 and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00-6:00 pm at the field by North Davis Elementary School.
SENIORS
-Attention Seniors! Please remember to turn in your kindergarten photo for Grad Night. Please submit a picture no larger than 2x3 to the front desk! Join your fellow graduates in a walk down Memory Lane!
-If you need help completing financial aid forms for college, UC Davis can help you during their Financial Aid Awareness Week January 30-February 3. Financial aid professionals will be available to assist students and parents complete the 2012-13 FAFSA. Come to the Career Center N-17 for more information.
