-Spring Sports Reminder: If your student is planning on trying out for a Spring sport, a sports physical packet must be completed and signed prior to the first day of tryouts on February 6. Fully completed packets may be dropped off at the DHS front desk or at the Athletics office prior to tryouts.

-For Lunch today we have Ginger Beef over local rice, Popcorn Chicken and Mashed Potatoes and Corn, BBQ Pork Sandwich and the soup is Tomato with Cheezy Bread Stix.

-Next week is Spirit Week for the 'Break the Record Night' Black Light Dance after the Varsity Basketball game. Support our team by dressing up on Snow Day Monday, Twin Day Tuesday, ER Day Wednesday, Wear Blue Thursday and White Out Friday! Remember to come and cheer our team at the game!
-Come to the Invisible Children Club meeting today, Monday January 30 in L-29. There will be food!
-Hey Lady Blue Devils! Join the Davis Lady Rugby Team! Practice takes place Monday 5:00 to 7:00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the field by North Davis Elementary School.
-Need help in your language class? Want someone to proofread your English essay? Come to N-15 at lunch any day of the week to receive help from experienced tutors.
-Join us for the first Korean Club meeting of the semester today at P-20. We will be watching a film.

--Come to the 'Break the Record Night' Black Light Dance after the Varsity Basketball game on Friday, February 10 in the Old Gym. The Dance ends at midnight. Tickets will be sold January 30th through February 3rd during lunch for $2 with ASB and $4 without. After February 6th to February 10th, tickets will be $4 with an ASB and $6 without. If you attended the "I'm On a Boat" Homecoming Dance, then you can get in free!
-Attention NHS members! There is a meeting today, Monday, January 30 in S12 at lunch. We will be taking our yearbook photo so please wear a white t-shirt. Make sure to keep your Semester One report card for registration in February. See you there!
-Interested in running for an ASB or class position this year? Applications are now available in C-4 and due Friday, February 3.
-Reminder for students: If you have business in the administrative office, you must come before 4:00. The office closes promptly at 4:00 pm.
-Hey Blue Devils! Are you interested playing in the DHS Intramural Dodge Ball League? If so, get a team of 6 to 9 people and pick up a registration form in C-4. The applications are due on February 1. Also, all next week, there will be a free play dodge ball in the old gym for anyone who wants to play!
-Attention Seniors! Come to Mr. Gonzalez's classroom in A-5 to help select the theme for this year's Senior Ball, on Tuesday, January 31st at lunch. Bring ideas and input! Food provided! See you there!
-Attention Clubs! There will be a club fair on Wednesday, February 1 in the quad. If you are interesting in having your club participate, stop by C-4 to grab a green participation sheet. All clubs are welcome!
-Attention Seniors! Please remember to turn in your kindergarten photo for Grad Night. Please submit a picture no larger than 2x3 to the front desk! Join your fellow graduates in a walk down Memory Lane!
-If you need help completing financial aid forms for college, UC Davis can help you during their Financial Aid Awareness Week January 30-February 3. Financial aid professionals will be available to assist students and parents complete the 2012-13 FAFSA. Come to the Career Center N-17 for more information.
-Have you purchased a yearbook? If not, make sure you buy one before the end of the month! Yearbook pre-sale will end January 31st! -SENIORS- Come by the Front Desk to check the spelling of your name on the diploma order list. You will have until tomorrow, January 31, 2012 to make adjustments, if needed.
-Independent Life Sports students please contact your teacher ASAP for your first assignment. We've already had one class meeting and many students did not attend. The next meeting will be tomorrow, January 31 and you have an assignment due that day!

Attention Parents: The Davis Parent University Lecture Series 2012 presents "The Whole Child Gratitude Works! How You Can Make Your Kids (and Yourself) More Grateful by Robert Emmons, PhD. This is a free event brought to you by the Davis PTA and DJUSD. This will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Theater, Davis High School.
