-Spring Sports Reminder: If your student is planning on trying out for a Spring sport, a sports physical packet must be completed and signed prior to the first day of tryouts on February 6. Fully completed packets may be dropped off at the DHS front desk or at the Athletics office prior to tryouts.


TODAY
-For Lunch today we have Chicken Curry Sandwich, Chicken Eggroll with Fried Rice, Potato Bar with Steamed veggies, Taco Meat, Cheese and Kidney Beans.  The soup is Clam Chowder with Oyster Crackers.


NEW
-Barbizon Performing Arts Academy will be on the quad TODAY at lunch to provide information regarding programs in modeling, acting, singing, dancing, photography and fashion design!

-Attention NHS members!  There will be a meeting on Monday, January 30 in S12 at lunch.  We will be taking our yearbook photo so please wear a white t-shirt.  Make sure to keep your Semester One report card for registration in February.  See you there!

-Interested in running for an ASB or class position this year?  Applications are now available in C-4 and due Friday, February 3.

-Reminder for students:  If you have business in the administrative office, you must come before 4:00.  The office closes promptly at 4:00 pm.

-Hey Blue Devils!  Are you interested playing in the DHS Intramural Dodge Ball League.  If so, get a team of 6 to 9 people and pick up a registration form in C-4.  The applications will be due on February 1.  Also, all this week and next week, there will be a free play dodge ball in the old gym for anyone who wants to play!

-Attention Seniors!  Come to Mr. Gonzalez's classroom in A-5 to help select the theme for this year's Senior Ball, on Tuesday, January 31st at lunch.  Bring ideas and input! Food provided!  See you there!

-Attention Clubs!  There will be a club fair on Wednesday, February 1 in the quad.  If you are interesting in having your club participate, stop by C-4 to grab a green participation sheet.  All clubs are welcome!

-Who will take home the title of Davis High Idol 2012?  Come find out this Saturday, 7:00 pm, Brunelle Theater.  Get your tickets from ATC members or at Watermelon Music.

-Attention Seniors!  Please remember to turn in your kindergarten photo for Grad Night.  Please submit a picture no larger than 2x3 to the front desk!  Join your fellow graduates in a walk down Memory Lane!

-If you need help completing financial aid forms for college, UC Davis can help you during their Financial Aid Awareness Week January 30-February 3. Financial aid professionals will be available to assist students and parents complete the 2012-13 FAFSA. Come to the Career Center N-17 for more information.

-Have you purchased a yearbook? If not, make sure you buy one before the end of the month! Yearbook pre-sale will end January 31st! -SENIORS- Come by the Front Desk to check the spelling of your name on the diploma order list.  You will have until January 31, 2012 to make adjustments, if needed.
-Jazz Choir Cabaret Tickets Available for the 24th Annual Cabaret dinner show Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12.  Ticket information is available at www.dhsjazzchoir.org<http://www.dhsjazzchoir.org>.
-Independent Life Sports students please contact your teacher ASAP for your first assignment.  We've already had one class meeting and many students did not attend.  The next meeting will be on January 31 and you have an assignment due that day!

This is a free event brought to you by the Davis PTA and DJUSD.  This will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Theater, Davis High School.
