ATHLETICS
Spring Sports Reminder: If your student is planning on trying out for a Spring sport, a sports physical packet must be completed and signed prior to the first day of tryouts on February 6. Fully completed packets may be dropped off at the DHS front desk or at the Athletics office prior to tryouts.
TODAY
-For Lunch today we have Sweet and Sour Pork Meatballs over local rice, Buffalo Chicken Tender over local rice, Taco Bar: Bean and Cheese Chulupa, Taco Meat, Nacho Cheese and Salsa. The soup is Minestrone with wheat dinner roll.

-Attention Seniors! Come to Mr. Gonzalez's classroom in A-5 to help select the theme for this year's Senior Ball, on Tuesday, January 31st at lunch. Bring ideas and input! Food provided! See you there!
-Attention Clubs! There will be a club fair on Wednesday, February 1 in the quad. If you are interesting in having your club participate, stop by C-4 to grab a green participation sheet. All clubs are welcome!
-Who is going to take home the title of Davis High Idol 2012? Come find out this Saturday, 7:00 pm, Brunelle Theater. Get your tickets from ATC members or at Watermelon Music. The finalists are Jack Davis, Corinna Kron, Sierra Clark, John Testerman, Andrew Block, Rebecca Buer, Sibel Alpedmir, Nikki Iveter, Casey Powers and Ariauna Wood. Who are you going to vote for?
Interested in learning more about the Army? If so, cometo the Career Center at lunch today, Thursday, January 26 to speak to an Army representative.

-Attention Seniors! Please remember to turn in your kindergarten photo for Grad Night. Please submit a picture no larger than 2x3 to the front desk! Join your fellow graduates in a walk down Memory Lane!
-If you need help completing financial aid forms for college, UC Davis can help you during their Financial Aid Awareness Week January 30-February 3. Financial aid professionals will be available to assist students and parents complete the 2012-13 FAFSA. Come to the Career Center N-17 for more information.
-Have you purchased a yearbook? If not, make sure you buy one before the end of the month! Yearbook pre-sale will end January 31st! -SENIORS- Come by the Front Desk to check the spelling of your name on the diploma order list. You will have until January 31, 2012 to make adjustments, if needed.

-Independent Life Sports students please contact your teacher ASAP for your first assignment. We've already had one class meeting and many students did not attend. The next meeting will be on January 31 and you have an assignment due that day!

Attention Parents: The Davis Parent University Lecture Series 2012 presents "The Whole Child Gratitude Works! How You Can Make Your Kids (and Yourself) More Grateful by Robert Emmons, PhD. This is a free event brought to you by the Davis PTA and DJUSD. This will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Theater, Davis High School.
