PSAT results have arrived. Please come to the Large Conference Room in the Admin building during Lunch this Thursday and Friday with your Student ID to pick them up.

The Holmes Junior High School   Winter Concert takes place tonight, Thursday, December 13th at 7:00 in the IPAB.

Davis Idol 2013 is coming! Who will walk away with the coveted title of Davis High Idol? If you want your chance to shine in the singing spotlight, applications for contestants are available now in PA-8 and on the ATC website: www.dhstreblechoir.org<http://www.dhstreblechoir.org/>. Applications will be accepted in PA-8 beginning this Thursday, December 13! The first 24 completed applications will be accepted and any additional applicants will be wait-listed. The dates for the preliminary rounds are January 25 and 26, with the exciting, red-carpet finale on February 2. Contestants must be current 10th-12th graders enrolled in any Davis high school.



NEW

Attention DHS Student Leaders, Clubs, Booster Groups and ASB: Thursday, December 20 is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the January 2013 DHS PTA newsletter.  This is a great way inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities. Please send news, announcements, etc. to the DHS PTA Media listserve @ DHSSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>.  Please include: your name, parent or faculty name and contact information in case of questions on submissions.  The newsletter is the only communication tool that reaches All DHS families whether they have internet access or not.  The newsletter is generally available around the 1st of each month.

Anyone considering AP Art Studio for next year should come to an informational meeting at the start of the lunch break in A-1 this Friday, 12/14/12.



Finals are coming! There are tutors in the Academic Center to help you study.  Computers and extra textbooks are available for your use.  Stop by room M-2 for more info.

Home for the Holidays Concert! On December 20, 2012 at 7:00 pm, the Davis Schools Arts Foundation is presenting the 10th Annual Home for the Holidays Concert at the Veterans Memorial Theater. Tickets are available at Watermelon Music, 207 E Street and at Armadillo Music, 205 F Street.


Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists - This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm on stage in the DHS Brunelle Performance Hall.  A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be on the window of the computer lab in PA-3.  Deadline to sign up is December 21st.   You must email Mr. Moreno after you sign up at amoreno at djusd.net<mailto:amoreno at djusd.net>.  In your email, please provide your name, instrument and the name of your piece.

Please place recyclable materials in proper containers which are the cardboard bins near the trash dumpster.  If you don't know, please ask somebody.  Davis Waste Removal will not dump containers with improper materials in them.
