The Third Annual Davis High Boys Lacrosse Swap Meet will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Holmes Junior High School MPR!  Buy, sell, swap or donate new and used Lacrosse equipment and Gear.  Donations are happily accepted at the Swap and will help to support the Davis High Boys Lacrosse Teams!



LUNCH CHOICE:   Pork or Chicken Adobo over brown rice; Bean Feast over brown rice; BBQ Chicken over brown rice; Hot Wings over brown rice.

The Guitar Club meets Thursday, December 6 in Room P-22 at lunchtime.  We need to take our yearbook picture, so please be sure to attend!

Attention members of the Teen Health Awareness Club: we will be taking our club photograph for the yearbook today! Please arrive at the New Gym by 12:30 and wear a royal blue shirt. See you there!

Momentum Dance: Meet in front of the IPAB for the yearbook photo on Friday, December 7 at 12:05.  Remember to wear your black dancewear.



Attn: Environmental Club members! Come to our meeting in room S-10 at the beginning of lunch on Friday, December 7 to be in the yearbook photo. If you did not purchase a shirt, please wear white. See you there!



CSF'ers! This Friday, December 7 is the second to last general meeting of the Fall semester so be sure to come to room P-13! We'll be continuing STEAC sign ups and presenting more projects before winter break. Drop off your STEAC items this week!



The next meeting of the Teen Health Awareness Club is Monday, December 10 at lunch in room S-5. Come try a healthy snack and help plan springtime activities and speakers.

The Davis Senior High School Winter Choral Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 pm at the Brunelle Performance Hall.  The Advanced Treble Choir, Concert Choir, Jazz Choir and Madrigal Singers will present an array of holiday selections for all to enjoy.   The concert is free and open to the public!



If you have a loved one serving in the military overseas, Student Government wants to send them a care package to say thank you for their service.  Please turn in their APO addresses to Mr. Morgan in C-4.


We are pleased to announce that DSHS has successfully submitted 2013 senior class verified GPA information for Cal Grants . This means students do not need to complete the paper GPA verification form to apply for a Cal Grant.  To be considered for a Cal Grant, students must submit the FAFSA by March 2.  Come to the Career Center if you have questions.


Do you have awesome talents?  Here's your chance to show it off with the DHS Factor!  Applications are due Friday, December 7 in C-4 to students and staff!



Anyone considering AP Art Studio for next year should come to an informational meeting in A-1 on Friday, December 14 at the beginning of lunch.



Calling all dodge ball players! Applications to start your own dodge ball intra-mural team are available today in C-4.  Turn completed applications into C-4 by December 14! There is a mandatory captains meeting on December 14 to go over rules and regulations.  Can't wait to see you there!


Reminder!  The DHS Auto Shop Oil Changes and General Service Program can service your car with excellent work by DHS auto students and supervised by Mr. Thayer. Get your oil changed in most cases for under $30 with the highest quality oil change products.   Your vehicle will be treated with the utmost respect and care.

Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists - This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm on stage in the DHS Brunelle Performance Hall.  It is open to all DHS instrumentalists.  The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music  Festival on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm as well as a check for $300!  A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be on the window of the computer lab in PA-3.  Deadline to sign up is December 21st.   Also, you must email Mr. Moreno after you sign up at amoreno at djusd.net<mailto:amoreno at djusd.net>.  In your email, please provide your name, instrument and the name of your piece.

Reminder - Participation in student activities is a privilege, is encouraged, and plays an important part in insuring that students have a well-rounded high school experience. Please don't earn a spot on the No Activities List by failing to follow DHS rules and expectations for behavior and attendance. Placement on the NAL would prevent you from participating in fun activities such as break-the record night, the black-light dance, and even playing on an athletic team. Follow guidelines that are designed to help you be successful.  Don't go NAL!!

Seniors!  It's not too soon to think about Grad Night 2013!  The tickets cover food, drinks and entertainment and are at their lowest price, $75, until December 31.  Scholarships are available through school counselors.  This event is an all-night party for graduating DJUSD Seniors!
